Whoops. Poor Slumpy.

I can't fathom what your point is. You were amazed that nobody has asked the GM about where Ollofson slots on the team next year. Somehow this was a critical question to be asking during a playoff run this year and the local media are at fault for not asking this question that Adams couldn't possibly answer right now.

It looks impressive because the bar was only six inches off the ground to begin with. They're still bottom five in the league.

I think that something else your chart shows is how pathetic the fanbases of playoff contending teams like Winnipeg and NJ when they can’t even muster the average attendance of the Sabres when they are both solidly entrenched in second place in their respective divisions. Two other teams in playoff contention, the Islanders being one are still in the bottom third of the league in average attendance. Barely ahead of the Sabres’ numbers. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to get a seat in Buffalo if it was clear thay we’re going to the playoffs like either NJ or Winnipeg are? And that is after a dozen years of sucking.

This is why I believe that even though it is the responsibility of every team to make a responsible effort to get to the playoffs every single year, this team owes it to their fanbase to take a legitimate shot at getting there this year when it is very much in the mix and is having career years from several of its players. They don’t make it once they make some moves to win this year (and hopefully into the future as well) they don’t make it. There are what, six, teams fighting for two wild card spots. But they must make a commitment to the Sabres fans who up until last year still often filled the stands as the team accumulated two number ones overall. Just my opinion.

So they should make some of the absurd trades that you've suggested on twitter? I don't need them making commitments to me to make the playoffs this year. They owe it to the fan base to build a championship team. From what is reported, Adams is out there shopping. All of the bubble teams are shopping.

Maybe not. They must have killed even that because their flight schedules show nothing for nonstop.

I was told those female genitalias had non-stop flights from Nashville to Buffalo... Haven't been able to find one yet.

Jost had a very strong game last night. He was aggressive with the puck and attacks the net. He doesn't take games or shifts off and works hard.

Not sure he is worth his qualifying offer but resigning him would be a good move. He is a sold 3rd/4th line player who can chip in 30-40 points. He adds good secondary scoring to the team.

I liked that 4th line with Jost Okposo and Girgs Atleast last night

I wish he could go to roch and get some starts. I am sure the number of days in between starts helps no one. (Goaltending wise)

Buffalo has lost a lot of its flight destinations.

They may lose their international status in a year or two if they don’t regain some.

This is not true. They have actually added new route / cities. Buffalo had seasonal direct flights to Nashville a couple years ago from southwest.

Did anyone say absurb trades? Why do you dweebs jump to any call for making a move to win this year as requiring a stupid payout? How does a call for a trade automatically mean it has to be in exchange for "the team's future"? So tired of the stupidity. Read my posts about responsible trades. But yes they need to make a trade or trades this year to try to win this year, in my opinion, but that in no way means that they have to mortgage the store. Read what I wrote. Your rewriting what I wrote is less than intelligent and certainly not appreciated.

They were going to open them shortly before Covid, which killed it. That was also supposed to be a Saturday only experiment too.

EDIT, I guess it was further away from Covid than I thought. Regardless, it never came back after 2020.

Buffalo never had any international flights other than some seasonals to Cancun or places like that. As long as Customs has a presence there, they will always be one.

Glad WGR can talk Bills again this morning…..

Do they know the Sabres exist ?

- Swedish_Jesus

I still remember the time Marcus Kruger signed a 3 year ~$9M deal and they said he was making ~$9M a season. They don't know sh¡t about hockey. Howard Simon used to be pretty solid, Schoop only whines about being a season ticket holder, Bulldog tries to care but is also pretty bad, then when the CTE twins were on it was pretty brutal, and now Marty is the only one that can talk knowledgeably about the game.

Yeah, some of these airlines open up routes on a trial basis. Southwest did that with Nashville and Denver.

With these bargain basement airlines like Frontier, Allegiant, and now Breeze increasing their destinations, I don't think you'll see much of that...at least until one of the big airlines buys them out. I didn't include Spirit because JetBlue is buying them out, so they'll likely go the way of AirTran.
