Yeah Pulli, big kid. He grew so much so late. His head is still trying to catch up his to his body. - Buff36
Kinda sounds like another player we have
Still like to take a shot on Greenway
Looks so awkward still

Agreed, kinda why I like Crouse and Jeannot. Think Granato could take there game to the next level, plus the talent they would be playing with. |

Not a lot of talking about Crouse
Think the add will be someone we didn't see coming
Agree he fit in here |

Frontier. If you care to roll the dice has some interesting seasonal routes at BUF.
But for the most part, Dallas, LA, Denver have been recently adding within the last few years and have stuck.
Which is nice. More hubs. The big carriers ever add routes. Hubs get fed by the spokes
Southwest and frontier dabble with them from time to time
Post Covid the airport has seen growth and bigger planes overall - Sabretooth9
It's actually the opposite. The airlines are cutting the number of flights and consolidating them using bigger aircraft and boxing the smaller contractors out.
And these routes are getting cut too. JetBlue's LAX flight is no longer daily. Southwest just changed Denver to Saturdays only. American's Dallas route is still at one a day and at 6am. I thought Southwest's Vegas flights were Saturdays only but even that's been cut. All the airlines are still facing pilot shortages after Covid, and the smaller airports are getting hit the most. |

By the end of tonight the Sabres will be 4 points out of a playoff spot with 4 games on hand on Washington and 5 games in hand on the Panthers.
The Sabres control their own fate still.
Go 4-2-1 over the next 7 games and they are on their way. |

3rd 'GM' is Ventura? - Lunaion
Adams
Karmanos
Jakubowski
Ventura has some say analytics wise. They believe in that stuff

Yeah I factored a Panthers regulation win in that comment I made.
Realistically the way the Panthers are playing I think they will grab a wildcard spot, but Buffalo still has a chance. |

Have to keep an eye on Detroit as well, they are up tonight and would pass them.
Tough road with so many teams in it.

Adams isn’t speeding anything up with the rebuild. I wouldn’t expect much at the deadline
Chick-run or Timo fit the long term
Adams is not getting a rental to appease the masses
If the kids make playoffs. Amazing. If they don’t. They are proving we still have a good core in place - Sabretooth9
Have you seen me pushing for a rental? I would prefer and have called for a real hockey trade however I do not see why they cannot get a "rental" or even more than one. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg on a "rental". This is the year for rentals if ever. Tons of salary cap. Don't need to cut anyone. Everyone gets the feel of being in a playoff run. You can if you want to send some of the youngsters down to Rochester to get them into the AHL playoffs. Those players have already spent the majority of the year up here. It's complete baloney to pretend that they will be stifled unless they stay with the NHL squad. Getting to be in a real playoff race in Rochester and be in the upper lines won't kill them, IMO. Getting UFA rentals will not stand in the way of prospects Unless of course they play well enough for the team to move the rental player ahead of prospects who are already in the system. You know what? That's a good thing for the organization if it happens. There are so many opportunities if they only stay open to them then maybe one or more might come to fruition.
Sadly, I agree that I do not expect much at the deadline. And in my opinion that is a complete, disgraceful disservice to the fans of the Buffalo Sabres. |

Just hope he has a heavy influence.
I didn't know they had a 3rd GM. Strange that some of these guys have stayed around through multiple GM's and changed titles multiple times. - Lunaion
Devine is one that confuses me as to how he's stuck around, especially with the team's drafting record for quite a few years.

Curious what you mean by the above?
He just turned 26.
He's never really been an offensive producer.
Is he more than a 4th line player?
Shouldn't the Sabres aim higher in terms of impact players to bring in? |

That would be some feat considering the following schedule: @San Jose, Toronto, @Lightning, @Panthers, Capitals, Blue Jackets, @Boston
The next 7 after that may even be more difficult.
Looks like the 3rd most difficult strength of schedule.

Over their last 10:
BUF 6 - 3 - 1
SJS 3 - 5 - 2
TOR 6 - 3 - 1
TAM 6 - 2 - 2
FLA 5 - 4 - 1
WAS 4 - 6 - 0
CLB 4 - 4 - 2
BOS 6 - 3 - 1
Over the last 5 (which may be a better indicator given the break)
BUF 1 - 3 - 1
SJS 2 - 3 - 0
TOR 3 - 2 - 0
TAM 3 - 0 - 2
FLA 3 - 2 - 0
WAS 2 - 3 - 0
CLB 2 - 2 - 1
BOS 3 - 2 - 0
We better keep scoring 5+. San Jose is a must win. For some wonderful reason we own Toronto at home. We have zero chance against the Tampa Bay Lightning. We always find a way to lose to Florida. Washington is a must win. Columbus a must win. Sorry folks, Boston will remember Cozens stripping Bergeron en route to Tuch winning the game. Loss.
4 - 3 If we can snag a loser point or two it would really help. If we manage 5 wins over those 7 games I will be blown away. I'm being glass half full with 4 wins, but we have to have 4 wins. |

Any interest in Cal Foote - Buff36
He's still learning the game and gets very little ice time with Tampa. He's a knuckle dragger though and we need one. Our leading hitter, also our best player, has 70 hits on the season. 70. That ranks him about 200th in the NHL in that category. Our once dirty, once difficult to play against, alternate captain has a whooping 58 hits on the season. He doesn't slash anyone in the wrists anymore. He doesn't spear anyone. He doesn't board people from dirty angles anymore.
We clearly need help in Cal Foote's specialty. When we have a game against heavy teams like Calgary, teams that will come in and forecheck Dahlin all night, it would be nice to dress a Cal Foote to scum the best player on the other team. |

I wouldn't exactly call him a knuckle dragger,, but he will throw down. Would like to see what Donnie could do with him. Be some Twin Towers there with Power and Foote. |
