Where’s 89 with all the damn rumors??
 - Pairo11
Timo Meier: cooled off
Chycrun - Adams keeping tabs on (not overpaying )
Luke schenn - backup plan (maybe)
Brock Boser - Canucks want to dump. Adams listening
Demko - Canucks rebuilding
Hanafin
That is about all we know. When pooling together sources |

- Elias plays the more premium position (Center vs Winger)
- Elias is a better player (although Timo is elite himself so not necessarily taking a shot at him)
-Elias is signed through next season whereas Timo expires this season. Elias is also two years younger (perhaps plays a role in the return)
It would take a haul to get Pettersson out of Vancouver - Swedish_Jesus
Add in ….. we would have another swed lol
I agree Elias is the better player. But to beat the bruins or Tampa. I think timo would be better. He’s a power forward with skill. Kind of like adding another tuch |

+320 on the Workhorse from Whitehorse. That's a good payday on a night where goals will happen. - lacaprup
Dahlin is at +400.
Wonder what a parlay would look like of both scoring? |

Does the big trade change the predicted Sabres win over the Leaves at home? Of course not. There are few certainties in life, but the Sabres own the Leaves in Buffalo and Hamilton, and Ryan O'Reilly hates hockey in Buffalo. |

If I were to make a bills / Sabres rebuild comparison.
We would be in year 2 of the josh allen development stage. That is where the Sabres are at.
Young team still developing. Showed some good signs and some bad signs. Which is fine. Also found some core pieces
We aren’t ready for a Von Miller signing. We could use a diggs trade. (Sabres wise) |

My surprise Sabres acquisition is Travis Konecny.
Conditional 1, Rosen, 2nd - ImThatGuy
A desirable acquisition for sure, but what would be Philly's motivation for moving him?
Doesn't seem to me Philly is looking to tear it down in view of Tort's being their coach.
Young, good contract, very good production...he's a guy to build around. |

We can't make a trade as it would block our prospects we will draft this summer

Right ……. I mean people here wanted to add has beens and sign a vet just to sign a vet to not hit the cap floor.
What the Sabres have done this year has been great at letting the kids play. The core needed to prove themselves and they have for the most part
Your rosens Kuliches aren’t ready. See the point totals from Quinn and jj and see how it’s translated to being “nhl ready”
This season and what they are trying to do is much different than next |

What constitutes "NHL ready" though?
IMO it means the prospect has excelled in the AHL and has little more to learn there. They are then ready to learn the NHL game by playing and learning to overcome obstacles.
It doesn't mean (to me) that the prospect will excel immediately.
Maybe "NHL Ready" means Ready to Learn the NHL GAME |

See JJ and Quinn’s stats from roch. They lit up the AHL on a nightly basis with ease and then showed in the rookie camp this summer. They were lightyears ahead of all our other prospects
They both “graduated” to the nhl team for this year. |

Yeah, I don’t understand these wild accusations. Apparently we all just wanted the Sabres just to do things to do things which is completely inaccurate and made up in the fantasy land of peoples minds. |

A lot of people wanted plug in play players and called the Sabres a budget team.
female dogging then for not spending
Also earlier this year people wanted to send Krebs down. Quinn down and etc |

What would have been wrong with sending Krebs down? He's 21 not 24. He was really awful before switch to center of 21 and 28.
I don't recall anyone asking for Quinn or Peterka to be sent down this year. Many called for them to see a game or three from the stands, which they did and may still do again this season, but sent down? Again, not a wild position either to send one of them down, but we had/have no one to replace them with. |

Still more time left in the AHL season right? What Kulich is doing at 1-1/2 younger than Quinn was last year is pretty darn incredible.
Could he use another year in the A, probably should be a decision in another 7 months. |

I think people wanted that bishop money used to get a better player than comrie, vinny or lyubushkin
one quality piece is better than 3 turdburgers |

Considering both Quinn and Peterka have had awful stretches of hockey it wouldn’t be so shocking if they went down.
Again if saying hey get Debrincat (40 goal ppg player) is a “plug and play guy” then I’ll take 12 plug and play forwards. |

I can name the specific players I advocated for this offseason:
Cat - does not fit his equation
Ville Husso - does not fit his equation
Pat Kane - does fit his equation, but was never really serious. Just kind of a fun time. And, yes, there were others who would like Kane too.
Other than Pat Kane because he is the greatest American player of all time and from South Buffalo I don't know who he is talking about. And, let's face it, since he's been in the league Sabres fans have advocated trading for Pat Kane every offseason, and rightfully so.

Ya, I think letting them learn the NHlL game after tearing up the AHL, especially in a Developement year as defined by Sabres leadership (not me) has far and away more value long term further franchise then wasting another year in the A.
I believe the position one takes on this is directly related to if one is viewing for this season only vs longer term view. |

Well, because they lose a year of development, in a year they defied as a year of Development.
They are looking at the longer view. |
