Let's just hope he can end his 6 game goaless streak.
Simply can't have him going on a long streak just before the trade dealine. - IonSabres
He saved a goal last night with a smart and tenacious backcheck. It was a layup if he wasnt there. |

A win Tuesday guarantees the Sabres will be playing meaningful games in March. Yesterdays win on top of losses for every team we needed to lose was clutch.
The Sabres control their own destiny right now which is all you can ask for. - Stripes77
It's going to be a wild affair in there Tuesday night.

Gotta root for the Isles IMO. If Pit loses, that makes 2 WC spots 100% live for us. - lacaprup
A wise poster on here, I don’t remember who it was, once said his dad would say when in a playoff race, you root for the team directly above you to lose. I’ve generally subscribed to this line of thinking since I read the take a few years ago.
This sounds crazy, but maybe it would be best for the Isles to win in OT. This would keep both WC spots alive for Sabres like you mentioned and doesn’t give the Isles another RW.
Still have a long row to hoe, but we haven’t had this much fun this late in a Sabres season in a long time. |

UPDATE ON THE BLUE JACKETS
SPORTSNET: Jeff Marek suggested the Columbus Blue Jackets’ Joonas Korpisalo could be an option for playoff contenders seeking goaltending depth. His adjusted save percentage going back to early December of 1.9 percent saves above expected, putting him above netminders like the New York Islanders’ Ilya Sorokin, the Dallas Stars’ Jake Oettinger and the New York Rangers’ Igor Shesterkin. Korpisalo carries a $1.3 million cap hit on an expiring contract. |

He had a big win against Dallas yesterday. He's gonna help someone out. I wouldn't be shocked if he came to the Eastern Conference too because it's not hard enough here. |

Easily the best Sabres season since the Roy, Connolly era. And, really after Vanek left it was like being dead at times. |

So everyone had a chance to see Meir
Nothing spectacular
But was in on a lot
almost 20 minutes
Think
2 shots
2 hits
Only one game did it change ur opinion |

Was he the best 28 last night? Z finally hit someone again last night. He's clearly reading the posts too.
but, yeah, he still looks like a great winger. |

Oh look, another UPL win where the team didn't score 6 goals and he made all of the big saves that he needed to in the game. Nothing to see here. |

It's not about whether he can make big saves. We all know he can. It's will he let in two dogs or not. Last night zero bad goals and we win. |

Only about 2 dozen players look like 9mil players on a nightly basis. We have 2. Even though Thompson is trying to do a little much lately. |

Scandella has been out all year due to his injury.
He also has another season after this left on his deal. |

Not really, he is pretty sound he just needs to make one extra save that he doesn't.
I am not sure where you see he has a long ways to go. |

You mean 10 million? Thats his qualifying offer.
No way Buffalo pays that. |

Pretty sound?
He is pretty below average at his angles
He isn’t great at reading the play
And weak glove hand
Also at times for being 6’5 looks small in net |
