He's not a smart hockey move. Might be a smart $ move.

Would he though? How much did Eichel move the needle once the shine wore off? Dahlin? Barely at all because they were in the doldrums. I don't think Kane puts asses in the seats for very long. It's a moot point anyway because they'll never spend the money until they get results and they won't get results until they spend some money.

FFS just go out and get a real goalie that can hold down the fort between UPL's wild swings.

I think Eichel absolutely moved the needle and Kane would too. Don't think Dahlin does nearly as much.

One guy has 11 goals and 37 points and the other has 21 and 45. One guy has 21 EV points the other has 25. One guy hasn't shot over 10% in 4 years the other hasn't shot under 10% in 7.

Yeah, sure, Kane is a HoFer, first ballot, but he's washed. Guys don't get better after playing almost 1200 games.

- Wetbandit1

Honestly, this is good post.

I'd take 65-70 points out of pk88.
We are the highest scoring team in the league at times.

Chicago has max domi and is trying to finish last o. Purpose, his numbers could be skewed

Eichel absolutely moved the needle, didnt they sell out the arena to a development camp game?

Maybe I'm mistaken, but eichel definitely put fans on seats.

Wow Garth, I think your the loser.

Been watching your Twitter feed.

One dumb comment after the next.

- Boss34

I am not Garth. Don't know Garth but he struck me as someone that would not hind behind someone else's name. Well you and I share one thing in common though. No respect for each others comments or positions. At least I had some respect for Garth. Have a good day.

I worry about his tendency towards injury and he is a LHD, but man this screams try hard to get this guy.

Claude Giroux went home knowing that there was a chance the Sens wouldn't even make the playoffs, that is classy of him. Don't know if Kane is that unselfish.

He did, at first, it didn't last that long. Signing Kane to a multi-year deal would be an insane waste on a team that won't spend money on a damn goalie. Kane on a one year deal? Fine, make some money at the gate. Don't know when the TV deal is up, but maybe squeeze a little extra there too.

It's not like it was charity, Giroux is making a pretty penny until he's 38. I'm not sure there were a lot of teams lining up to match.

Part of me just says (frank) it. It's been a long damn time since a meaningful game. Its not my money anyways.

I don't believe I am. It was not "classy" of Giroux to go home, it was business.

So, yesterday ROR played 2nd line center for Toronto. They moved Johnny T to wing for him. It did not go swimmingly. They had him at wing in his first game with them. I'm hoping they don't drop him to 3C against us. It's where he's going to end up, but let's hope it takes a while to get there.

Let's catch up at the game and shake hands and move on. I'll have my new (old) brad may Jersey.

This is silly.

- Boss34

No need to catch up at the game; I don't harbor internet grudges. It would be impossible to keep track of them all. People yell at each other all the time on the internet. Who cares? Be well.

St. Louis fans think a 1st, 2nd and a good prospect for Krug is fair.

I bet they do. His season is so bad this year it's hard to evaluate. He's at about 20 minutes a night and has managed a mind-bending -28. On January 30th he managed to be -3 in 17 minutes against Winnipeg.

My best advice is to sign up for the Standard for a month and see what you have access to.

If there's more you want, then up your membership to Pro.

Seems like a lot of middling Defenseman could go for stupid prices. Not a good thing for the Sabres.
