Yeah, but who cares about that. you get that all important fourth round pick in a year or two that might see the light of day in 4-5 years |

the team morale would be bad, as it should - homiedclown
I wouldn't either.
The talk is Kane going to a western conference team. |

Update: #Giants QB Daniel Jones wants more than New York has offered him. Possibly as much as $45 million per year, or more. A source tells Mike Florio.
Jones has recently switched agents, from CAA to Athletes First.

No need to catch up at the game; I don't harbor internet grudges. It would be impossible to keep track of them all. People yell at each other all the time on the internet. Who cares? Be well.

Barzal out indefinitely.

Need to make a move. - ImThatGuy
Will the Islanders go from buyers to sellers? Varlamov and Mayfield would solve an awful lot of problems the Sabres seem to have.

With Kane's actual $ being so low, you'd be a fool not to take the pick. - Lunaion
If the O'Reilly deal set the cost of a 4th round pick at $74K, is the cost of retaining 25% on Kane ($200K) worth at least a 3rd round pick? |

The Sabres can't buy a 3rd round pick while still look to make a deal or deals that also help the team's chances to make the playoffs this season?
Guess they can't do both, eh? |

Not sure which side to look at. The cap hit or the $ hit. Maybe both? Guess it depends on how many teams are willing to do it.
I'll take a another piece of trade ammo either way. |

Buy points percentage. The Sabres are currently in a playoff spot. FYI meaning they are playing better hockey the teams currently in front of them they have just played 4-5 less games.
keep adding to those list of excuses. I’ll have the list in a little bit. It’s pretty long.
imagine what playoff experience would do to a young team. - ImThatGuy
You asked me what I think the Sabres need to make playoffs. I think what we need is clear
Ridding a goalie with a 3.47 goals against and .890 save % is extremely risky
Rising joker with Dahlin or power is also risky
You are banking on a lot

With Lou's track record, he'll probably double down and make another trade to bring in a player. |

UPDATE ON THE BLUE JACKETS
SPORTSNET: Jeff Marek suggested the Columbus Blue Jackets’ Joonas Korpisalo could be an option for playoff contenders seeking goaltending depth. His adjusted save percentage going back to early December of 1.9 percent saves above expected, putting him above netminders like the New York Islanders’ Ilya Sorokin, the Dallas Stars’ Jake Oettinger and the New York Rangers’ Igor Shesterkin. Korpisalo carries a $1.3 million cap hit on an expiring contract. |

If it's Chicago's 3rd I would, especially this draft. Gives me another chance to draft a Dman or a asset for something else. |

2 first round prospects (both playing decent/good in their respective leagues), 2 seconds and a decent roster player in Joker? Yeah I would. That’s too much. |

Devils haven’t made the playoffs since 2018.
Care to explain how they built a cup contender ? |
