With Lou's track record, he'll probably double down and make another trade to bring in a player. - kingcong39
He'll probably bring Timo in now |

if we had to give up Ostlund, Rosen, 2 second rd picks and Joker
would anyone not named boss complain? - homiedclown
If you get rid of joker. you still have a 5/6 3rd d pairing issue
I would do that trade without joker. That should be enough |

Boeser would be my guess |

The Sabres can't buy a 3rd round pick while still look to make a deal or deals that also help the team's chances to make the playoffs this season?
Guess they can't do both, eh? - kingcong39
They can easily do both with the cap room they have. Think outside the box.

Peterka to the press box for JVR?
Peterka rotating in when someone needs a break, or there's an injury? |

If it's Chicago's 3rd I would, especially this draft. Gives me another chance to draft a Dman or a asset for something else. - Buff36
sabres get a third round pick to retain kane salary
kane goes to colorado
sabres make finals and plays colorado

So does this make us better, I know it sucks not having are picks in the first couple rnds next year. But maybe Joker, Mitts can get us a 2nd or 2. I don't care about Timo's QO, the Sabres could handle it, and the vibes should make him want to stay. - Buff36

You asked me what I think the Sabres need to make playoffs. I think what we need is clear
Ridding a goalie with a 3.47 goals against and .890 save % is extremely risky
Rising joker with Dahlin or power is also risky
You are banking on a lot - Sabretooth9
How about Varlamov? From the islanders if they fall out?

Very True, but that pick is probably gonna be 66-70 Range. Might just find my Luneau or Seamus Casey there. |

Someone posted that above you
But added Mayfield
Both ufa
Be against what Adams has said
But definitely would help
Think you could get them both to resign here if you wanted |

2 first round prospects (both playing decent/good in their respective leagues), 2 seconds and a decent roster player in Joker? Yeah I would. That’s too much. - SDSabre
Yeah hard pass here as well...

I think Ostlund will be the best out of Rosen, Savoie and Kulich.
He has made huge strides this year. |

Still think he needs to put on 10lbs or so, but he could well be. |

Him and Kulich have the highest floor imo. They both seem like sure fire NHLers. Savoie has the highest ceiling. Rosen is bottoms for both categories imo, but that doesn’t mean he can’t make. |

If you resign Varlamov you block Levi. The way Adams talks about him he's basically rolling out the red carpet, doesn't want anything in his way. Probably wants to make sure he signs here rather than playing another year in college and then walking |

I hope you're right and honestly I forget about Ostlund all the time of the 3. Savoie was the 1st guy, top 10 guy, I was excited when we got him. Kulich is in Rochester so I hear about him all the time. Ostlund is far away and he's out of sight and out of mind. If some of these guys can hit and be serviceable or better NHL players that's amazing. Plus a 1st and 3 2nds in what is supposed to be a good 2023 draft. Stock the cupboards, see what comes out of it |

Agree with your post.
Seems like management would like to see what they have in upl, instead of punting the goalie situation |
