You can say its not Hart's fault but the Flyers' goalies were not good in this game. XGF was 2.45 for the game yet the Flyers gave up 6 goals. The goalie's deserve some blame here, though the team as a hole did not skate and could not keep up with the Kraken. |

I didn't see the game either but watched the goal highlights. You described it perfectly. The Flyers sitting back pathetically and passively letting the Kraken move the puck around effortlessly with no puck pressure to find easy passing and shooting lanes. Man do I hate how the Flyers play by design. - MJL
Its not play by design, not even close! The Flyers can't compete with teams like Seattle, who are light years faster than the Flyers. The Flyers lack foot speed and have lacked foot speed for several seasons now. |

Chuck getting more calls 📞 about Konecny. - THE EVIL WITHIN
The Flyers have very little scoring capability as it is, and you want to trade the one player that can score for them? I would not give up on TK unless blown away by an offer which I don't see happening. |

TK should have been moved a month ago.
A smart franchise that understands how to build a team in the modern NHL would know that. |

Lol who would you rather be right now? I’ll go with Arizona. What ended up even happening with Chikya? Didn’t he get into some hot water, I feel like the story never fully Came out - ClaudeFather
i can understand that. still feel the flyers will turn it aound before arizona does. yes they are in a better position to rebuild, just not sure what their plans to do so are...since it's been 20 years and counting for them.

Looks like our letter to season tix holders was spot on when they said we suck. Just 5 yrs ago we were 20+pts better then the Rangers when they sent their rebuild letter. 4 yrs later they were in ECF and this yr are a legit cup contender. It can be done with the right leadership making the right and tough decisions. That's not Chuckles and his team of flunkies |

Nice skid right before the deadline. Don’t think his value has actually gone down but I hope Fletcher is shopping him. That’s a guy we can get a lot back for. I’d give Toronto a call. Retain a portion of TKs contract, 2 firsts and Knies |

LOL, what does not even close mean. Let me know when you want to have an in-depth conversation on systems. Watch the highlights, zero to do with speed. The Flyers are playing passively and not pressuring the puck by design. It's called a low zone collapse. |

You are not getting 2 firsts for TK. He is way too inconsistent |

we still have a lot of work to get there - 2Real
This is true but if we can string together a few more games like we've played recently I do like our chances. Maybe we can get a nut and get moved up the draft order a space or 2?
That's the best thing that can happen to us now. I enjoy watching the kids develop but I am still on board for a top 5 pick otherwise this is going to be a rinse, wash, repeat cycle for too many more seasons.
I still wish we would have picked jiricek at the draft and showed up that top D spot |

For a cap strapped team that’s getting a 70 point player for 2 and a half seasons at a fraction of the price you might |

When has he scored 60 points no less 70?????. Dont want to hear the on pace argument just look at his past 10 to 15 games on pace means nothing

51 points in 50 games this year. Who do you think he’d be playing with in Toronto? |

Regardless, the starting point for the trade I suggested would be Knies and a first |

And just for your awareness, Brayden Hagel went for two firsts plus because was a cost controlled player |

Dont know but last thing Toronto needs is another forward who is not strong defensively. Toronto not a fit for TK...Let's get him to 60 pts before we say he is a 2x 70 point guy |

Well, there are not many systems NHL teams use to defend their zone. Teams either go man to man, strong side overload or 2-1-2 where the defenseman guard the posts and the forwards guard the middle and the dots. We saw what happens over the past two season when this group of players was asked to go man-to-man and then strong-side overload. It was a complete disaster! So I'm not sure what else you can expect but a structured 2-1-2 coverage in their own zone. Their defensive coverage is the least of the Flyers problems. They can't score and they can't skate with fast teams. They need more talent up and down their roster! |

Exactly what I thought. 2-1-2 is more of an example of a neutral zone forecheck. It is not a defensive zone coverage scheme. The Flyers don't play a structured 2-1-2 in the defensive zone. I told you what they play.
There are numerous other defensive coverage schemes played in the NHL and variations of the same.
Defensive coverage is a huge problem for the Flyers. They are a poor defensive team that bleeds shot attempts and scoring chances. They lack puck pressure both at 5 on 5 and on the PK. They don't play a modern style of hockey.
It would be impossible for any trained eye to look at how passive the Flyers play by design and blame it on skating speed. There isn't a player in the league that is fast gliding on their skates or when stationary.
There are a number of websites that are available for educational purposes on hockey systems. |
