Why would he want to play in the US? He could move to a market where Hockey ranks just behind college bowling? Lol…….or he can stay in a market that hockey is 2nd to none…get more then enough endorsement deals to easily off set any tax issues…maybe He has his eyes elsewhere, but $ wouldn’t be the issue. - landros 2
You assume he wouldn't get endorsements playing anywhere in the States. Of course he would. Other than local TO endorsements, what's the difference? He'd bank a lot more of his own earnings and still get the big endorsements. It's a no brainer. There are a number of players with NMCs that have every team in Canada on their no-go list.
Just a fact of life. |

If a guy has every Canadian team on his list that tells me he doesn’t want the pressure…and he’s not a guy I’d want. There are cities for sure guys wouldn’t want up here, but TO…Montreal and Vancouver are fantastic places to live and play.
A hockey star in Canada gets nationals asking for him…not crap like car shield. Hockey is bigger and more popular the football, baseball and basketball….and a hockey player is at the top of the endorsement food chain. Where in the US would that happen? Like ever? |

Want to put money on it since you seem so certain? $20 for a season ticket holder. I'll buy you one if they lose first round and if they goto round 2 I pick the person it goes to. - Aaron_85
I’ll take that bet for $50. Goes to a charity of our choice. No way Leaf’s beat Tampa or Boston in 7 games. To soft. |

This gets touted a lot about the leafs. D and G aren't good. Except Samsonov is like a top 10 goalie this year. GGA is 6th in the league (with 10+games played) and his SV% is .918 which again is like 11th. Murray is something else but when he has been healthy his numbers have been steady. Without trading for Vasi or a Hellebyuck it's as good as it'll be.
Team is 5th in goals against so the defense isn't a slouch either. If it had maybe one more defensive minded player it would be better but it's a pretty solid D at this time.
With the trades the team defense got better. Again health is a question mark but that's for any team and any player. Especially a vet.
Leafs COULD beat Boston but it very well could be Bostons year. - Aaron_85
I have no dog in this race, but regular season stats are irrelevant in the playoffs. That’s why some teams that sneak in can do some serious damage in the playoffs. Teams are constructed a certain way. However, one may be better during regular season, and one may be built for the post season.
We’ll see if they can play tough enough to get past Boston.
That being said, they are better than last year, and have taken a step forward.

Wow tsn, brutal deconstruction of the flyers since the lindros trade
Sorry fly fans
That trade was the end of any hope - penguininnevada
Seriously? You need a clue! You come here to run your mouth, and you don’t know squat.
If LeClair was healthy for that series, the Flyers win that cup, no question. Injuries happen, and you move on.
No question, the current brass at the Flyers stink, but your nonsense is worthless, and ads nothing to this forum.

It’s possible the flyers post a big fat zero points on this road trip. Most likely a loser point is gained somewhere. |

You can't lose to a Tocchet coached team and take yourselves seriously. I mean, how does that dude keep getting head coaching jobs? Inquiring minds want to know. |

Was lucky enough to not see a moment of Thursday night's game. Figured they would come out and demolish Tocchet's team, but no. Trade em all!! Hart sucks too! Brutal goal to give up in a one goal game when your team is pressing for the tie. Perhaps he would succeed behind a better team? Good night! |

Knowing Fletcher, that is what he sends the other way along with the player. The he takes on more terrible overpaid long term contracts of players that will never dress for a game.. 50% of Team LTIR for the next 4 years...
