Varly can help to get out of the first round. He’s been well beyond there. |

Grab their prospect RODION AMIROV, 21, forward. Great future for this kid. |

Florida, Pittsburgh, and Washington all lose. So no movement as far as standings. BUT we lose Barzal. |

Matt Murray is a lost cause. There are better options out there. Team does not need a rebuild it needs to be tweaked. Thank you anyway.

As I mentioned earlier. If Barzal is out for any length of time. The team should serious consider moving Varly, Mayfield, and anyone that does not figure in their future plans for assets.
Ideally picks in this draft. But if not this draft maybe the can a low 1st for Varly and 2nd for Mayfield in next years draft. Something that could give capital to maybe make a trade at draft.
Not jumping ship here. I just view their play as erratic which does not bold well for a playoff run.

Maybe losing Barzal works to the benefit. Some teams (looking at you Pittsburgh) work harder when their best players go down. |

Possible Free Agent targets.
Michael Bunting LW (27) - Toronto may not be able to keep him with their salary issues.
Jason Zucker LW (31) - Pitt may not be able to keep him with their salary issues.
Max Domi LW (27) - I know he moves around - PP numbers are good.
Tyler Bertuzzi LW (27) - has potential may not be ideal. |

They should trade everyone you mentioned irregardless of whether Barzal is out for any length of time or not imo. Lameriello has hung onto players that were past their prime for far too long multiple times with the Leafs, Devils, and us you would think by now he has learned it doesn’t work. I’m sure he’ll reiterate to us in March he has not. He more then likely won’t do it. |

There’s plenty of examples of us not being capable of doing that. |

Even with a healthy Barzal, this team has not found that consistent good play. The defense has really struggled and without Sorokin, this team would not even be close.

I still hope they surprise but whenever just about anyone drops out of the lineup for whatever reason the results aren’t good. I’m sure it has something to do with our young players/prospects being not so wonderful and our team’s talent being kind of the same. If we lose anything from our lineup it’s tough to supersede it because we can’t afford to lose ANY talent. |

This is the exact reason why I do not see making the playoffs as being a positive. It will be four extra games and then summer.

This team can’t stay healthy. That’s what happens with an aging lineup. |

Cracked open a bottle of Angels Envy “private selection” the other day. Thought it was one of the better ones I’ve had in a while. I think Angels Envy is pretty good but this version of it was superb. |

Agreed, if someone makes an offer jump on it. There are some great future prospects out there LOU should be grabbing if possible.
