I like Allen, but not enough to lose Primeau for nothing

that's why many say trade Allen now, get something for him, and go with Monty and Primeau. asset management.

3.8M for a backup? yeah, not that great a deal imo. for MTL it's okay because we have nobody else, but for a contender looking to trade for a goalie.... that's a lot of $$$

that's the thing though, Allen isn't a #1 goalie, if contending teams are looking to acquire him it would most likely be because of an injury situation... and I might be a bit biased but I find he's among the most solid backups out there.
