Lafferty at $57500 would be enormous tho
I just did the deal
Kravtsov, ‘23 3rd and ‘24 2nd for Lafferty 50%, and that puts us at 1.520 projected cap space
If that isn’t enough to get him I mean cmon. That a lot but could be worth it - Slimtj100
Bonino would be a solid add as well |

They need to consider next year too tho. It’s imperative to get as cheap as possible in places |

Lol 😂
We, YOU specifically, have to come to grips with Kravtsov having ZERO trade value.
Lafferty at 57500 next year makes this deal worth it imo |

Forget Kravtsov (who I still think we’ll get a 2nd or 3rd+ for, remember when we all thought Nils had no trade value also?) the 2nd and 3rd alone is crazy for him. |

Lias Anderson also supposedly had zero trade value and somehow we got a 2nd out of it. Krav is without a doubt more talented. Not that we will get more than a 2nd but hes not worthless. Remember, we added Hunter Skinner as the prospect in the STL trade. |

Id give a 2nd and a conditional 2025 4th that could become a 3rd. But its all conditional on 50% retention. |

I really just want Kravtsov away from these guys. He’s gonna be a distraction because he isn’t seeing the ice. There is no way to build up his trade value anyway. That part is hopeless |

I’d be way more on board with this and I think Jeannot should be the target.
Jeannot Goodrow Motte 4th line would be nice |

I know were all gaga over Vesey and how well hes played, but lets be honest here. We need someone better at RW for the top 6/9. |

Unless we get someone on an ELC or making under $1m I don’t see how that’s possible |

One of the Hawks trade chips in Lafferty's cost to acquire likely increased higher than this morning, yet just yesterday via my prior blog's post, due to this latest breaking news via Frank Servalli:
"Sources say Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews will not be moved prior to the NHL trade deadline. I'm told Toews and Chicago made a joint decision as he needs more time to recover from his latest illness. He hasn't played since Jan. 28. More importantly for Toews, there does not appear to be any major long-term health concerns, and it's possible Toews could return to the lineup in March. But out of fairness to other teams, Toews felt his body was not cooperating to compete at a high level right now."
Jonathan Toews statement 3:00pm (presumed Chicago central time):
"First of all, thank you to the fans and all those who have shown concern about my absence. I'm still dealing with the symptoms of Long COVID and Chronic Immune Response Syndrome."
"It has been really challenging to play through these symptoms. In the last few weeks, it has reached the point where I had no choice but to step back and concentrate on getting healthy. I am thankful for the patience and support of my teammates, the coaching staff, and the entire Blackhawks organization."
Word yesterday had Lafferty's cost to acquire increasing higher with the amount of risen interest around the league in him.
I wondered then if Chicago would use him as part of a package deal with either Toews or Kane in order to move either stars, due to their interest from other teams having decreased significantly, mainly due to their reported injuries they had been playing through. Toews was already on IR, & officially will no longer be moved by the deadline for health concerns stemming from COVID dating back to last season.
With the Rangers & Leafs having made their major acquisitions within the past 11 days for offensive help up front, Kane's two teams he agreed to waive his NMC to accept a trade to are no longer candidates, barring something surprising occurring first. The Hawks may now try to use Lafferty as a combined chip in order to move Kane for a better return, given decreased trade value, though he stating his injury was exaggerated in scope. |

Or he is not really hurt and is being sat for precautionary reasons before a trade |

Hey wise MD??? guy:
No concern for you (as being supposedly in the medical field?) for Toews with his health situation being much greater concern for him than his injury he played through?
That's why over half my comment's length consisted of that precise official word of him by Seravalli & Toews himself earlier today. |
