I’m not one of these people that think they still have a shot at Patrick Kane come trade deadline but something in me does tell me I wouldn’t be surprised if we somehow find a way to make it work. Seems like Patty is set on wanting to come here and I think the Hawks will come down on their price to make it work. Just my 2 cents on the matter . |

The problem is even if we find a 3rd party to take on another 50% of his salary, 2.5m may still be too much for us to take on.
Someone would have to 'mysteriously' end up injured and on LTIR to free up the necessary cap space to make it work until the playoffs when said player mysteriously is no longer injured. |

Not happening at the deadline, however I wouldnt say its out of the realm of possibility that Goodrow gets traded in the offseason. |

So kane's deadline hit is 3million and we have a little less than 1 million at the deadline (this is all according to cap friendly)
Half retained and half retained his hit is approximately 1mil give or take.
To NYR: Kane 50% retained by Chi, 25% retained by Arizona (0.75 deadline hit)
To Chi: Krav (200k) 23 2nd
To Az: 2024 5th* becomes 23 5th if we win the cup
Arizona gets a free pick, Chicago gets a pick and a rw prospect and we're set

I dont know where you guys come up with these numbers, just look at the cap hit of ROR for Toronto. I see no changes or adjustments to the cost against the cap made for GP/AAV. It might change how much money the Rangers are required to pay him, however I dont see how that affects the AAV. |

Just going by what the cap friendly deadline cap hit says. I'm not 100% sure how it all works but I feel like the teams pay someone a lot of money to find whatever loopholes. But cap friendly literally says we have 900k deadline space and Kane is 3.01 deadline hit so I'm going off that |

Lol I'm not for or against him but my point is it could honestly happen and if I'm understanding how the hits work, NY could potentially make it work without jettisoning everything. Or I could be completely wrong and if that's the case, I blame tonight's beers ha |

It would be bonkers if they got Kane too
I wouldn’t put Labanc out of the question either, if they get him 25% he’d probably fit too. That could be Frank Vatrano type fit with Zib and Kreider |

The fact that Kane could still be an option is quite wild. |

To me, when the Rangers got Tarasenko, Kane became simply a bridge too far. Even though he is still playing, what has changed with his hip that we STILL would go to all of this trouble to get him?
PASS on Kane... |

I dunno man, doesnt a small piece of you wonder what it would be like.. if he doesnt get hurt? We could manage minutes and games, we have that luxury. |

How are you planning on managing his minutes in a physical Stanley Cup playoff series?
Its like being pregnant: you either are or aren't. The best ability in the playoffs is AVAILABILITY, and sadly I don't think he is up to it... |

It literally would probably only cost us Kravtsov and a pick (not in the first rd.) at this point. He doesn’t wanna go anywhere else (unless that’s changed or will change).
The guy wants to be a Ranger and shouldn’t be denied that request 🤷🏻♂️ especially for a spoiled brat who doesn’t |
