If they go out early and are forced to trade one of those three, it is probably too late.
On another note there have been rumblings, true or otherwise, that Matthews may not re-sign. Should it be true there are going to be thousands of Leaf fans ready to make the jump. Can you imagine Chicago drafting Bedard and signing Matthews as a UFA. - paulr
I think at some point those guys in those major markets burn out if you aren't winning or haven't won in the past.
Leafs have to be a pressure cooker. I was very surprised when I was lacing it for mens league game on Friday night somebody in our room mentioned Oreilly. Didn't see that happening and really dont see it helping them out much, if any, at all. Regardless of the hysteria up north. They needed a top 4 d man badly.... |

Well considering they haven't won a series since they were all in the league, not sure it matters.
I get why they signed Tavares going after the big star to compliment their big "3" upfront, but man...I get he had that injury but in 20 games he has 13 points.....the others are all within 3 points of each other...33 for Matthews and Marner and 30 for Nylander. Matthews has 17 goals, 13 for Nylander and 7 for Marner.
Their lack of addressing goaltending and defense is what continues to ail them and for all the circle jerking Dubas and Shanahan seem to get from canadian press on twitter....they have nothing to show for it....and I don't see how Tampa doesn't bounce them again in round 1 baring a major injury to close out the series. That's before THEY likely add to their group. - SteveRain

Of course, Toronto is the most important city in Canada. |

Taking into account the way things are with Tazers health. What a way to go out have him pass the C to Kaner as he signes a new deal. Don't wanna see my hero's leave. |

Vegas puts Mark Stine on LTIR. Does Kane become a Gilden Knoght before or after the game tommorrow? |

If he were to be traded there what return would you like to see? |

They’re first’s this year and next. None of their prospects sparks any joy with me.
Especially if the Hawks retain which would allow Vegas to make another move. |

With Stone on LTIR would there be a need to retain, other than giving LV additional room to make another move?
Do you think Boston would have an interest? They have some promising prospects Lohrei comes to mind. |

Vegas with about 8.75M in cap space now.
1/2 of Kane's hit leaves about 3.5M available. Room for Domi, Lafferty or McCabe if Knights want to do some one stop shopping.

Dallas doesn’t’t have a #1 pick, Vegas has no prospects, and Edmonton needs a defenseman way more than Kane. - LAHawk
They will get McCabe as a throw in.
Maybe this Karlsson infatuation has ended with the San Jose price tag.
Edmonton can use Mccbe and Kaner won't be out of position in the attack zone as Karlsson will be, over and over.
(I did think I read some expert say Kane would waive to play in Canada.) |
