Apparently.

I'm not sure he wants to deal with Carolina again after Don (frank)ed him so bad on the Brent Burns deal, but Waddell is absolutely going to offer more than they want to give up just to see if Fitzgerald will put his money where his mouth is an wildly overpay for Meier.

- BINGO!

Nobody (frank)ed him on the trade. He was a willing participant and could’ve said no

Devils have more assets to get him. This division is loaded with the 3 of us.

They do yep. Might as well drive up the price and make them give up something they don't want to give if you can.

Elliotte Friedman said there were no updates yet today from his trade talk of yesterday:

*Timo Meier: Meier has a UBI, but "is not overly hurt" in being currently out day to day.
NJ's still the favorite, but only wants him provided he's signed to an extension.
Carolina & Vegas are also still interested.
But don't count out the Blues since they will not be under a prolonged length rebuild. In looking ahead, they will use their increased cap space & any 1st Rounders of theirs & more to acquire impact players & others by both the deadline & in the offseason via trades & free agency in July.

*Chychrun: The Blues are very interested. But L.A., TOR, EDM, & FLA are not in now.

*Patrick Kane: The NYR & TOR. are out. The 3 most interested through my sources there are Dallas (as a line mate with Seguin), Vegas, and Edmonton.

*Detroit: Larkin will not be traded, and Bertuzzi is not available right now with the team trying to reach the postseason.

*Gavrikov: The holdup for Boston acquiring him is due to them having to work out roster gymnastics.

That’s the one guy no way they trade him. I’d bet in them getting Quinn at some point even. Maybe when Hamilton has lost a step

You didn't think for real, tj, that Kane was still a possibility for the Rangers even if 75% of his cap were retained via the 50% maximum allowed by Chicago, & 25% by another team, leaving the Rangers to absorb $2.625M for the other 25%?

The Rangers need now is an experienced 4th line center, and in order just to acquire one pending the cap hit, in having only about $900K+ of deadline cap space, they would finally have to rid of at least Leschyshyn's contract having two more years remaining at $767K. I felt that mentioning Friedman's word he first broke yesterday on the Blues being interested in Meier, would be additional good news for Rangers fans since Frank Seravalli also said it earlier today for the first time as well.

Hey pickles.
You first proved per your inaccurate reply that you cannot count properly.
The question is whether or not you also know what a comma looks like.

I used 8 commas in total in my reply there to tj (& not 10 as you claim).

I also used 3 apostrophes. I noted this just to make you aware of 2 things:
(1) An apostrophe is not a comma. Apostrophes are used to show the omission of letters or the plural form of letters (as in Friedman's), or figures (like 7's), or even to omit digits in a particular year (such as using '23 short for 2023).
(2) Even if you thought apostrophes were commas, the 3 apostrophes I used in that reply when added to the 8 total commas I used add up to 11, (& not 10 still as you misstated for the amount of commas).

So either way you're wrong with the exception for your first line written.
You're correct in count that I used 3 sentences. So you know what a "period" is in addition to knowing "the one" having to do with your wife. (As tj says, "haha haha.")
I can hear Bronx Cheers in the background for you.

(I'm only kidding around with you, buddy.)

The Rangers were one of 15 teams that scouted the Leafs vs. Hawks game at Chicago a few days ago when Kane recorded his hattrick. The list included the:
Rangers, Kings, Preds, Jets (2 scouts), Kraken, Sabres, Bruins, Lightning, Devils, Capitals, Red Wings, Oilers, G. Knights, Panthers, and Ducks.

*Both E. Friedman & P. LeBrun have stated the price on Lafferty is higher than the expected norm for that type of player & level due to the loads of interest in him.
*There was word in Chicago that Domi likes playing there, and the Hawks may now want to re-sign him to a new contract.
*Earlier this blog, I mentioned Friedman's trade talk of yesterday, (with no updates then at that time, nor tonight), which among part he claimed his sources there he spoke with had Dallas, Vegas, and Edmonton as the 3 interested teams in Patrick Kane.
He also specified that the two teams Kane was last willing to be traded to, in the Rangers & Leafs were no longer interested.
P. LeBrun stated last week that Kane (& at that time, the since shut down J. Toews) would both make their decisions on allowing a trade to a team not on their restricted list by Tue. to Thur 2/23.

I would also take Domi, as word had the Rangers very interested in just a day or two into this month. I believe when posting that word here then, that a few sources were reporting it, of which one was "The Fourth Period."

But with the acquisitions Feb. 9th of Tarasenko & Mikkola, plus Motte on Feb. 19th, & having rid of only Blais' $1.5M cap & Gauthier's $800K cap as part exchange combined overall in the two trades, some roster move(s) must be made to fit in Domi's expiring $3M cap hit (or anyone near the equal). Domi being a UFA this summer is coming off a $3M salary.
