They think LI is 10 hours away from Manhattan.
It's not good for the sport when top players only want to play for certain teams and team are stuck in Cap hell with these contracts. |

How is it that year after the year, the Rangers manage to make key trades and not give up the farm? - Nfdbulldawg
Makes you wonder what LOU’s thinking is this season. |

Is Kane really going to help the Rangers? They seem soft with defensive breakdowns. Sometimes too many moves can hurt chemistry. |

They've been struggling for a couple of games now. I do not like their chances getting out of the East. |

Because they want to be in Manhattan. I have no idea why. You couldn't pay me to live there. Maybe when I was 23, but no way in hell now. |

Lived most of my adult life in Manhattan and the majority of my family still lives there and I agree with you. Especially now it’s an absolute dumpster fire
My point was they can play for the islanders and still live there. The commute isn’t substantial for either teams practice facility or arena. The Rangers organization itself has a long history of being tops in the league for players as far as the way they treat them. I’m sure all of these guys have their reasons some things more then others but ultimately I’m sure it’s more the rep of being a top organization. |

I agree. It’s the playoffs and anything can happen of course. Shestyrkin could play lights out and lead them to a cup. He’s capable. I don’t see it happening though. Last playoffs they couldn’t have had more luck facing teams 2nd and 3rd string goalies due to consecutive injuries to opposing tenders in each round leading up to the ECF where the Lightning didn’t have Point in the lineup which they lost in 6 games. If we played the Lightning in both of those series without Point there’s a very good chance we win both if not one of those series and if it were two years ago we would’ve won the cup. That guy absolutely destroyed us. He’s a beast. |

And don’t forget about Crosby being taken out and injured in gsme 5 in round 1 of the Pens series. That was a close out game and if I’m not mistaken. If he doesn’t get injured likely the Pans win that series. |

The Pens were also up 3-1 in the series. First they lost Jarry, then they lost Crosby from a Trouba elbow and DeSmith in the same game if I’m remembering correctly. Then the Rangers came back in the series and won.
Rangers just traded Kravstov to the Canucks for a 7th rounder and William Lockwood(he sucks I’ll save you the trouble of looking it up). I guess they were overvaluing kravstov just a bit wow.
Edit; is Vancouver taking salary? They have to be so they can get Kane… |

That’s right it was Trouba that hit Crosby. Just remembered he’s was injured. I don’t know too much about Kravstov. |

Rangers certainly had things break very right for them last year. It's not likely to happen again. Regarding Kane he can still play but is he a huge need? A player like ROR and his grit would have been more important. |

I would say Ranger fans on here seem 50/50 split as to who wanted him. I think he’ll be a good add for them. I would’ve loved him for us. Guy is an incredible player probably one of if not best hands I’ve seen in my life. Again, I don’t think they’ll win the cup but I think he’ll make them a tougher out. |

Kane has sure picked up his play as of late. What happened to the bad hip? I figure after adding Tarasenko they would look for some D help? |

Watching the game last night and butch is getting on the islanders for not generating any offense or sustaining offensive zone time. He drives me crazy! They have two lines of minor leaguers and not very good minor leaguers. Wtf does he expect?!?! They were lucky to win the two before.
Idc what Lou does but do something. He decides to give up, then sell. if you think they can squeak in pick up a few nhl players. I don’t expect top six but a few bottom six proven nhl players shouldn’t cost much.
I like watching meaningful games even though I they aren’t getting past the first round. But I still would like to see them fight to get in. |

It feels like the rags really have no choice but to get Kane. It’s like everyone and Kane himself is pushing for it.
Personally I think it would be a mistake and he won’t help them much. |

Have to disagree with you on this one. He would solidify their top two lines No.1
Chris Kreider Mika Zibanejad (Jimmy Vesey) Insert Tank or Kane
Artemi Panarin Vincent Trocheck (Vladimir Tarasenko) Insert Tank or Kane
He would would make their PP a 1a and 1b...with either unit being the top.
Kane going to the Rangers would be a huge pick up. It balances out the pressure.

Kane helps for sure, but Rangers are pretty much all in with a stacked Eastern conference this year. If it does not work out Rangers could be in for trouble. Chemistry is important as well and these big name moves sometimes do not work out. |

Agreed...But I believe Kane will fit in just fine. Whether it takes them to the cup...We all know that the playoffs are a strange animal.

It could work out well. Just seems like overkill though. Lafreniere and Kakko were very high picks and should be further along that they do not need both Kane and Tarasenko. Same as Wally should be further along in his development with the Islanders. |

Huge test for this team today. Jets are a good team and lost their last two including one against us. They are going to come out ready to go today and we usually don’t.
Josh Bailey will play today. Awesome. |
