I guess so. It's strange seeing these GM making all these moves like they were a asleep and are just waking up. The Rangers and all their moves are interesting. It's almost like they think they are an older team, and they think they have to go for it now?

I think the Rangers are a good team but I think last seasons playoffs success had a lot to do with circumstance. Most playoffs for any successful team has some circumstantial things attached to their run but to have the opposing players out who they played in each and every round was pretty fortuitous.

Anything can happen in the playoffs and they have a great goaltender so who knows but I’m not overly concerned with them winning the cup. My Ranger fan buds are convinced this is their year.

To me, it's still a little bit of a failure that the Rangers feel they need both Tarasenko and Kane when they drafted Kakko and Lafreniere. Kakko and Lafreniere were high #1 picks and not 4th and 5th round picks.

They drafted both of those guys where they should have. Not sure if it’s their fault or the players really. Who knows maybe they weren’t developed properly. Not sure what they are giving up for Kane yet but I like both of those moves. A lot of experience coming over with those two. Plus it will be even more fun to watch them lose in the first round.

The pressure really ramps up with these trades for sure. Going to be very little excuse to not win.

The wheels have come off for Detroit tonight. (Pun intended). Ottawa has scored four straight to make it 5-2 and have had four breakaways and three two on ones since. This game could easily be 9-2.

Ah, I think you strike while the iron's hot. They had a good run last year and they're playing well this year. If they believe they have a chance, then I'd say their GM is right for doing everything he can to make the most of it. You never really know when your window will slam shut.
