Two more goals for Dufour tonight!! Kids having a very good first year in the pros. With his size and shot he could be something. Work on that skating and they’ll really have something

Would you rather have Horvat or Beauvillier leading this team with Barzal out?

I know Barzal isn’t expected back until late in the season. What are the timelines for 44, 12, 15 and 26?

Last I read 44, 12, and 15 aren’t even skating yet. I would think Wahlstrom is done this year. He had a huge brace on his leg with fixations on it. Don’t think he’s coming back this season.

I've always felt if this team could get into the playoffs, they'd have a shot. They're generally slow relative to other teams in the regular season, but once playoff officiating loosens up with clutching, grabbing, etc., along with the physicality this team (used to) play with, we have a chance. But that's with a full roster. Missing 13, 44, 15 and 12 (I actually like playoff Bailey), does not bode well for their chances.

The first rounder alone seems like a lot to me without adding the other picks and smith. Smith is the guy that injured Barzal I think.

Hathaway is a very good fourth liner too, he wasn't just some throw-in to the trade

Buffalo beats TB in OT. Vasilesky was dog crap in this game

So it looks like:
Det 4-1 over Rags
Edmonton 7-2 over Pitt
Buff 6-5 over TB
Anaheim 4-2 over Was

It's going to get interesting. The Pens are freefalling and the Capitals are effectively throwing in the towel on their season. Isles are getting the luck they need, now they just have to keep up their end of the bargain

Right. You probably missed some content as to why I posted that. When the trade happened, a few of us predicted that Beau would go on a hot run. We all know he'll cool off and disappear for 15 games or so. Trust me, few people on here were more happy than I was when we unloaded the crest crusher

From what I've heard, 26 & 15 may be done for the year. 44 should be back in a week or two. Bailey.......who cares

Boston and Detroit are both playing really strong hockey right now. Not to mention they both have multiple games in hand. Those are the two teams I'm most concerned about. Perhaps Ovie, motivated by his father's death, will put his team on his back, but they looked really bad last night. The Pens are a train wreck

Buffalo and Detroit are definitely the two biggest concerns at the moment. The games in hand that the Isles have on pretty much every threat, except Washington, are going to be an issue though. They have very little room for error.

I'm okay with Martin for another year. He's been decent with Horvat and Anders. I think him and Casey with a younger speedier wing could be okay. Clutterbuck is just a shell of his former self. He brings absolutely nothing other than perhaps personality.

Clutterbuck is toast. Agree that Martin is fine for now, but I wouldn't re-sign him after next year. Between Fasching and possibly Durandeau, they should have very cheap bottom six options to pick from.

Martin just reappeared after vanishing for a season and a half. Signing him again after next season would be moronic so I can totally see us doing it.

Definitely would not consider resigning him. He'll be 35 by the end of his term.

Should be an easy call to move on from both soon. Will be interesting to see if Lou is coming back.

I don't think there's any reason to believe he won't, frankly.
