2 notes here,
the Josh Anderson we were used to see, the one showing up once a week, that one I was ready to trade.
the Josh we see now, the one that has been very steady for the past 6 weeks, I want to keep. don't care what the offer is, I keep him.
2nd, I think Habs have found their #1 goalie. excellent news. now the question is who will back him up next year, Allen or Primeau? they have until training camp to decide. |

1-With what we have seen from Anderson the past few years, maybe it is time to sell high.
2-Too early to call him the #1 IMO, when he is hot he is fantastic but when he struggles his lows are very low. He is a bandaid for a few years until they develop another goalie. Keep him and Allen as a 50/50 tandem. They are rebuilding, they don't need a top 10 goalie right now. |

yup, I really like how Montembeault is playing but the sample size of him performing like this is much too small to say he's the habs' legit #1 goalie. he could become that though...
and I don't think the offers for Anderson would be interesting enough for Hughes to trade him. |

Agreed, the offer would have to be fantastic, which at the TDL with his salary/term is most likely not possible. Like Hughes said before, there is probably lot of interest but the return has to be "can't say no" which is very doubtful they will get. No problem keeping his. Things might be different when the cap goes up by 5M+ next year.
Also...RHP is the new Gallagher, what ever line he plays on, that line does well. He works so hard, he's able to read plays and be well positioned. As Anderson said last night in the post game interview, RHP is very easy to play with, he never stops working, every shift and sets the tone for his line. |

Gally has multiple seasons of 20+ goals, personally I find this comparison way too hasty.
I really like the guy though, let's see what he can do

I know it's early but what made Gally special was his work ethic, RHP has that. |

sure, but Gallagher wouldn't have been considered that special had he not produced offensively the way he did, being able to play regularly on the 1st and 2nd lines...
anyway that's my take on it, but I'm aware that the comparison is a popular one among fans and it isn't going away any time soon lol. if RHP lives up too it, that'll be pretty damn awesome.

he was incredible last night. the team in front of him played well and blocked a ton of shots, but he played a huge part in that win.

and had to leave during the game?
well that's just great, he might as well help spread a virus among his teammates, as if there aren't enough injuries already lol

RHP can skate, Gally cannot.......
The only true comparable is they both give maximum effort.
