Seriously not opposed to this scenario if it happens as long as the picks and prospect are low. Almost feel as though it's going to happen.

Maybe the Sens will consider bringing back Erik Karlsson with some of the savings from Zaitsev's cap, and the Sharks retaining some of Karllson's as well in some sort of package trade. I can't recall if they were ever rumored to be in on Chychrun as another possible top option for their backline.

But in the past week, there had been some talk with the Blues & Sens. So who knows on that front if that's why they needed to move out Zaitsev's $4.5M cap hit first, still having one more season remaining on it.

I was thinking this before…are they really committed to Mikkola at all? Loyal? No real reason to be. The one thing about that deal is he makes a lot of money. If they can somehow off load him and get a different D, that’s another million or so to play with. May have to suck it up and get Braun for instance

I set everything off with the Chytil thing. I was brain farting, but doesn’t mean we shouldn’t get him at the right price. I don’t think it’ll cost as much as everyone thinks. It’s pretty damn clear that he has no list, it’s the NYR on it and we need to oblige

Lot of misinformation here.

For starters,
- TommyHawk[a motivated] Kane is a significantly better asset than Tarasenko is. Kane's hip "injury" is much ado about nothing. It has "hampered" him for a couple seasons now, and this was just rubbish thrown out there to decrease his value. There have been questions about how hard he is playing because of how bad this team is - not because of his hip.

The Hawks have scored the fewest amount of goals in the NHL. The best player Kane has skated with this year is *checks notes* Max Domi. I'd say it's kind of difficult to put points up when you're skating with bottom-six forwards all season.

Putting 88 on a line with Panarin is the best thing the NYR could do for their offense. They were the best duo in the NHL when they were together.

I think that’s why Kane is pissed off. It’s all assumptions/speculation. It’s his body, is he really gonna risk his UFA status for one cup run? I doubt that.
