Playing a much more desperate team tho. Wings are in a dog fight. They’ve built a cushion for themselves. It isn’t pretty tho I get it. Just seems very panicky tonight. The lineup is all out of whack too

Hopefully the Kane thing resolves itself and we get him for sundays game for a boost. If they lose vs the caps on sell mode I’ll get a little concerned

It sure is a circus right now and it won’t end until March 3

Kane wouldn't have made a difference with the Rangers again falling behind for their 4th straight game, & losing their second straight in regulation for the first time since Nov. 26th & 28th during their current 3 game losing streak of 0-2-1.

The mistakes, defensive lapses, lazy play & more continue per the Rangers:
1) Allowing 4 goals in 4 of their last 5 games despite being 2-2-1 in those five.
2) Yielding either 3 or 4 goals in 8 of their last 9 games overall dating back to Feb. 6th despite being 6-2-1 during that stretch.

It would be ironic if Thursday's roster management moves weren't to bring in Kane, but rather another player or two, though still needing cap aid from the outside to do so. I believe Kane hasn't yet approved of any move. That despite last week's word for one by Pierre LeBrun, stating he & Toews (before forced to shut down to recover from long term Covid), would decide by Thursday 2/23 if and to whom they would accept a trade to besides those on their approval list.

The Rangers will go nowhere this postseason unless Shesty first returns to last season's Vezina winning Shesty in net & nothing less. Their deadline need for a 4th line center prior to the revived Kane rumors may now shift to needing more toughness & energy at wing instead, along with a defensive minded d'man. I would see if NSH. wing Tanner Jeannot is available & what Columbus wants now for Gavrikov. The latter since the Bruins deal fell through due to their inability to create sufficient cap space thru roster gymnastics means.
