Yeah, credit definitely needs to be given to Detroit. Nhl.com says they blocked 22 shots, but I'd bet that's kinda low.

Better that the Rangers sh!t the bed now than do it when heading into the playoffs. Igor needs to get his game right, Miller needs to get his sh!t together. Chytil hasn't played well recently, and the 4th line of Goodrow, Motte and Vesey (who creates more grade-A chances than anybody in the league and can't bury a single one of them) need to concentrate on beating the crap out of the opposing defensemen on the forecheck instead of wondering which line they'll be on for the next shift. Kane probably is what the Rangers need that they don't already have. They have shown the ability to win when they're down a couple of goals but they need to stop playing like that's their plan going into each game.

Further to the NYR sitting Kravtsov and Leschyshyn last night. The Rangers continue to talk to teams about brokering. Perhaps, a deal similar to what we’ve witnessed in the past week.

I’m excited for them to get this past them and move forward. Watching yesterday, we definitely need the upgrade on RW to the first line. Kreider finds a wide open Vesey all alone for the games first shot. If that’s Kane, it’s in and we have a way different game potentially.

if kane is saying he's only coming here, then drury better be playing hardball. i dont care about krav, more about the pick(s) going back to the hawks and 3rd party team.

they better sort this out quick tho - handcuffing themselves last night and basically punting the game annoyed me.

Nobody is leaving but a big personality is coming in. They know if Kane comes in that they need to win the cup. Might be some tense times ahead.

The only one I disagree with is Money Puck. I don't think they deserved to win. HST is just an individual account of each player. So that seems accurate. NST is just an account for shot attempts, scoring chances, and high danger chances. No issue there really.

The stats are skewed by volume, primarily from the 2nd period, and not quality. As someone that values the nerd stats they tend to overvalue the cumulative value of high volume low quality chances.
