Maybe Kravtsov to Vancouver will be the 3rd party compensation. He 'll have Podkolzin and Kuzmenko as buddies/mentors.

Edit - And you can't get much closer to Vladivostok, his home town, than Vancouver.

That’s what I was thinking with Mtl as the 3rd team. Because of Gorton connection (drafting him)

This is the only gloating I’ll do…

Tom witnessing him get a hattrick tomorrow would be the ultimate cherry on top seeing those charts fade into oblivion soon after

Hopefully he and the doubters can finally buy in now. It’s going to be so much fun

I early on thought this was the only thing we would do. I just couldnt see how any other trade would have been possible. Weve been dancing around Kane for 2 years now. When we got Tarasenko, I thought it was all done cause there was no way we would find more cap space.

Kane has played in 54 of 57 games this year. 78 games the year before. Again? When was the first time?

I don’t think like you guys. I think it’s impossible for him to stink on this team with whoever he’s playing with. Hand to god.

He’s played with a bum hip for 3 years they’ve been saying. It doesn’t really bother him out there. It’s all speculation how bad it is

Dealing with it and missing time are 2 totally different things. All athletes deal with aches, pains and injuries.

It’s funny I can’t bring up last year stats, or the last week or two, but the first 50ish games this year is all that should matter. So fair

Exactly. If it concerned HIM, he wouldn’t be risking his UFA status next year

Another known fact. I looked it up once, over the last 4 years or so he has scored more points than Krieder, Trochek, Tarasenko or Zibanejad.

One way or another, good luck to you the rest of the way.

Here’s some deep information on the Rangers and their medical staff. Brian Kelly is a hip surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery who does lots of the pro-athletes in NYC. Dr. Kelly uses Smith & Nephew for his surgeries. The rep for S&N, who Ive worked with and helped train when he was new with them, his name is Joe Lavin. Joe happened to be drafted in the 5th round of the 2007 NHL draft by none other than the Chicago Blackhawks. Guess who was taken #1 that year?

So I think he will come here, play, we go as far as we go, then Kane gets the hip looked at by someone he trusts.

I’m sticking by my thought of him getting the surgery on the Rangers watch and that will keep his AAV down because they’ll be losing him for half of next season. Not sure how long he’d need, but this really makes sense imo

Roope Hintz had the same (if not similar) surgery in May of 2021, I know cause I was there. He played in 80 of 82 games that following season.

If his injury is more of an nagging pain than an actual injury, Kane might not have to address it after the season, possibly after retirement.

They wont operate on him if he genuinely doesnt need it. Worst case theyll do injections first.
