I am starting to put this on Drury. Did he have to trade for Tarasenko when he did? Why not explore the Kane option more since we are seeing it’s been an option. I would take Kane over VT without question.

If they got Kane originally then we would be looking to make some lower cost moves at this point for bottom 6 players and or 6th dman which we desperately need.

I think Drury sees 4th line of Goodrow, Vesey, Motte as better than having Vesey in top 9, which would be the case if NYR didn't get both Kane and VT
