Now a big 1 for their last 11 on the power play, after finally converting on their second 5 on 3 opportunity, but not on the 5 on 4.

They may end up forgetting about Kane with their defensive play starting on the backline being in shambles, should something not yet made official be real bad in news not only on Lindgren's status, but also with Shesty as well, whose mindset and focus first have been not there due to a lack of confidence, starting with the poor play in front of him. If Shesty should also be playing through some not made official yet, sort of nagging physical issue per him not being the Shesty we know, they have no chance by acquiring Kane as option one.

I think the talks are too far along for them not to make the trade. Obviously kravy and jake were not part of the discussion.

They are never ready for the start of games of recent, but greater so daytime games.
This is the first time the Rangers have allowed more than 5 goals this season in any game.

As long as he is back by playoffs. This team has been bad whenever Lindgren has been out the last few years

I wonder what is better for the Rangers in terms of Lindgren's injury. Is it better for them to place him on LTIR and lose the prorate cap hit or regular IR and keep the prorate cap.

I don't know Mike if you saw my comment on the prior blog after midnight, following the loss to Detroit, per their defensive game mistakes, turnovers, and more in 4 or 5 straight games then. I suggested the need first on defense with Mikkola not being the answer any better than Harpur.
They have also been taken advantage of physically of recent starting in last Saturday's OTL at Calgary, right through this game today thus far.

I mentioned they should check with Columbus on the price now for Gavrikov since the trade of him to Boston fell apart that day. He's even a greater need than Kane as of today's UBI injury suffered by Lindgren, should he be gone for an indefinite period of time at the minimum. Then check on Tanner Jeannot's availability from NSH, since the Rangers scouted NSH last weekend, centering their focus on Jeannot. He would bring his toughness up front, and can contribute somewhat offensively, as an improvement over the earlier dealt Ryan Reaves.

I think they need to go back to some version of the lines they had before the All Star break..

No thanks. He is no better at this stage than either of Schneider's partners used. Luke Schenn is a better option, but not enough of one should Lindgren be out long term.

The thing with Gavrikov is cost. Im gonna guess that the reason why Boston didnt land him is because CBJ wanted more than what BOS was going to offer.

Regardless of peoples opinions, when you make a decision on what we do if Lindgren is out long-term, you have to do it considering Kane is on our roster.

If we do go after Gavrikov, its gonna require CBJ to retain 50% plus a third party OR, we apologize to Mikkola and send him to CBJ (while they still retain 50%).

He’s definitely playing Kane and Panarin together. Kreider and Tarasenko and then the centers should sort itself out. I’m sure he’ll experiment, and likewise I’m sure it’ll be mayhem here when he does it’s going to take time. But when this thing gets clicking it’s gonna be pure magic
