They didn’t want to give up on him yet. But it ended up backfiring. It is possible he’s just not that good. Now will he be willing to go to Vancouvers affiliate? Because that would realllllly piss me off
I’m glad he’s gone. I’m in the minority probably, but good riddance. I give the org very little blowback for this. Jmo - Slimtj100
How do u expect him to be happy being Sat all these games when he has to think about his next contract etc. If there was no intention to play him get ride of him while he still had some value. I love GG, not the biggest fan of Drury, but I think all involved in this one shoulder the blame. U can’t let a 9th overall pick go for nothing, not bc he sucks, but bc of the atmosphere that was created by all sides involved. |

We have differing views here, TJ, as you know. Both sides made mistakes, as I noted. You place it all oj player. Irrespective of that, bad job in asset management - airjan23
I think you all are just blaming the wrong people. What the hell is Drury supposed to do? He refused a minor league assignment |

I’m not letting this bother me. I’m not fighting about it. You guys can all freak. I’m glad his gone. He could be an all star in ten years and I’d feel the same way. He gave up on my team, fk him. Go back to Russia and live “peacefully” there. |

History isn’t on ur side in this one, at all. They should’ve made depth moves, guys like Jeannot, Comtois etc. These superstars at the deadline don’t pan out. |

Name the last team that got 2 aging, former superstars and won the cup. I legit don’t know the answer, but what comes to mind is teams like TB getting Goodrow and Coleman (role players), COL getting Lekohnen Cogliano Manson (role players), St Louis didn’t add anyone really from what I remember, Pitt added 2 depth dmen in 2017, Caps added a few depth nobody’s in 2018, etc etc etc. And in all that, you’ve had the Rick Nashes, Iginla’s etc and those teams never win a cup. 2016 Penguins added Daley/Hagelin/Perron (role players) - nyrangers9479
Id say prob not since like 99, 00, 01, 02 when Bourque, Chelios, Blake, Shanahan, Hull, Hasek, etc... went cup hunting. |

I know the rumor is circulating that we are getting cap help from Vancouver, but I'm not convinced its true. Nashville trading Niederreiter today for a pick opens up cap space to facilitate a deal with us. Fingers crossed Jeannot is also now available.... |

Trade him before his value was worth a 7th and fringe AHL player. |

i just need you to say one real, meaningful negative thing about the org and/ or the team and I’ll shut up about it forever - picklerick
Why does this bother you so much the epitome of society all in one post. Forgive me for being a positive fan. I’ll be better and think of something horrible I dislike about them. Maybe the hotdogs at the Garden |

They didn’t wanna give up on him!! no one did. Until they had too. Why is this so difficult to understand
No matter what or when or how they traded him, YOU were going to be pissed about it |

It's before it got to that point. Plus, the messaging should have been clearer. I have said I disagree with him not going down, that's on Kravtsov. But someone also needed to make sure he understood the rationale, especially since he likely deserved a spot coming out of training camp last year. That's where the disconnect occurred. |

TJ, you know me, I call it evenly both sides. I bleed Rangers blue. But when I write, I have to be objective. I hope he succeeds. Both sides are culpable at different levels. But that got garbage back for an asset, that's the concerning part. Same with recent drafts and acquisitions of third pair, LH d-men. |

Because I can’t bother to have a real conversation if you’re not objective. It’s a waste of time |

I agree the return was horrible. Drury said enough is enough, and to be honest I can’t blame him. I’m glad he’s far far away from my team. |

Understood, and that's how many people felt. I was and may be in minority. Works for me . I hope Kane is healthy and leads to a cup, but the D concerns me significantly, especially with Lindgren likely out a while |

I loved Nash. He stunk in those playoffs, but I was a huge fan. If they win Game 5, the series was going 7 as no way they lose at MSG |

My exact text to my brother (after seeing the return):
“Oofah how the mighty have fallen”.
I had high hopes for Kravtsov it hurts me. So I’m bitter towards him. That’s my way of handling it lol |

I know, I kid mostly about Nash. I just always wanted more from him. Who knows, I may hate Kane down the road too. Just too excited to be mad at anything right now. It’s truly one my favorite moves of all time. I think it’s like Messier level good. Call me crazy 🤷🏻♂️ |

I just wanna say, I’m sorry for being a dyck. I just wanted him so bad and it’s becoming a reality so I’m at peace now lol. I just wish/wished everyone would share in my excitement for this. Hopefully you’ll all get there. Trust the process has been my motto. The process now is winning a cup. I’m over the fighting. I won’t engage if HE starts. And I ain’t starting poop. jimmy is on his own lol. We’re all friends in a weird way but we are a brotherhood in a fanbase and sometimes you don’t get along because of the passion being a fan brings. I’m at a ‘94 excitement level right now.
Anyway…
We can’t let these last two weeks or so (they haven’t been playing great even during the last few wins imo) jade us. New players have come in, a lot have left, think about that. We hated Blais. But he did have friends as much as we’d not like to believe that. He’s gone. They had Reaves who did alot BEHIND THE SCENES leadership wise. So theyre without that now too. We aren’t in the room and sometimes I’d think we are, while reading things around here. We know nothing other than what we see in the games. Now more are leaving and more are coming. It’s going to take time, but just let it marinate and the results will come, and they’ll be fantastic. Mark my words |

I truly believe this move is entirely and has EVERYTHING to do with Panarin. And he’s on the rangers. It’s the only situation he would want and he just happens to be with us, and in showtime city. The hip spooked them, rightly so.. but I don’t believe it’s a problem.
We signed a guy for ….
11!!!!!! MILLION!!!!! DOLLARS!!!
We need to get the most out of that player. It’s really that simple.
That’s asset mgmt at its best today, this week, next week, etc this is the longest trade ever if there could be such a thing |
