Really concerned with this game tomorrow vs. Kings.
I find it highly unlikely Lindgren plays tomorrow. Theyre gonna have to call someone up to dress 20 guys. Kings have been good, we have not. |

They may lose. Hopefully it’ll be the turning point like the Trouba meltdown was. Once Kane gets settled in we’ll get on a roll
It’s very good we have a cushion tho. I’m not overly upset without home ice in rd one. They’re a good road teams |

Elliotte Friedman stated shortly ago that he's heard the Rangers and Hawks are working on something. But he's not certain it involves Kane, who he added, that he thought as of earlier this week was out as far as the Rangers & Leafs go in trade talks, (which I posted that night causing tj to be upset at me).
Friedman also mentioned that should Lindgren need to go on LTIR, the Rangers can still use his cap savings to complete any trade by the deadline. Earlier tonight there was word elsewhere of the Rangers seeking help on defense.
Gallant stated that Lindgren would be out "day to day" after the game. Has there been any update on that matter yet? If not, then talks with Chicago if not involving Kane have to be for help up front for either Domi &/or Lafferty, and definitely not McCabe on defense, who has a $4M cap hit for two more years.
So maybe Drury is awakening to the REAL issues that are affecting this team's play of very recent, but hopefully not due to Lindgren needing to be sidelined long term. |

It’s gotta be separate deal. Kane is coming. They told him to go home and essentially wait for the trade. They’re doing it all over the league as we know
It could be Mikkola with McCabe added (50%) theyd surely get a first rder with that. Which could really help the deal probably
More forwards makes no sense. Nothing against Lafferty but where’s he gonna play |

Nothing is done until it's done. Today's injury to Lindgren proves that poop happens. Sure looks likely they're getting Kane, but I'll only be certain once they announce it. |

Gallant won't say anything about extent of injury until/if Lindgren goes on IR. My concern is a separated shoulder and six week or more absence. |

Nah I’m not worried about that. I bet it’s McCabe. Makes sense. Ship and flip Niko, McCabe 50% but the haul will be much better for them |

Doubt CHI eats 50% on McCabe for 2 more years. |

They’ve been saying they would tho. Maximizing their return. Timing is everything. They can do a completely different trade probably. Bigger and better.
I’m at the point now where as long as Cuylle and othamnn remain I’m good. If it’s bigger, they can have the first..or two. We need to keep striking. They are all in
I’m imagining Drury drinking like 83 cups of coffee and making deals on the poopter |

Thing is they dont want to shoot themselves in the foot either during the off-season when it comes down to resigning all our kids and potentially trying to retain Kane. |

I know the rumor is circulating that we are getting cap help from Vancouver, but I'm not convinced its true. Nashville trading Niederreiter today for a pick opens up cap space to facilitate a deal with us. Fingers crossed Jeannot is also now available.... - TommyGTrain
Welcome Tom! You actually agree with me for once per my word on Jeannot I wrote starting after the debacle in Detroit two nights ago. The Rangers did scout NSH last weekend and centered their attention on Jeannot, according to word then.
Prior to even acquiring Tarasenko, you wanted Gavrikov in case of the event occurring as it did today with Lindgren injured & sidelined for who knows how long. I wrote then that they couldn't use first their top assets including 1st Rdrs. as an insurance policy should Lindgren get injured, until they filled their top six need up front with a RW offensive contributor first, (preferably a shoot first type like Vatrano of last season). So now is the time Drury needs to check the cost to acquire Gavrikov, especially after his delayed agreed upon trade by CBJ to Boston fell through due to Boston unable to work out roster gymnastics to fit GAV. under their cap. Like Jeannot, do you want Drury now Tom to also pursue GAV. due to Lindgren's unknown status, and the real issues the Rangers are struggling with since February 6th defensively both on dee & up front? |

I want Drury to go after Kulikov. Way too much hype surrounding Gavrikov, I dont think the juice is worth the squeeze on him. |

Meet me in cap friendly!!
If he’s two million bucks that’s not that bad.
I’m telling ya, this is goodrows last year as a Ranger. It’s blatantly obvious looking at it. They aren’t paying a 4th liner almost 4 million bucks. He’s served his purpose like Reaves did, just a more expensive version. I know no one wants to hear the buyout word, but they gain 200k. May not seem like a lot, but it’s essentially 4 million bucks off the books. Kick the problem down the line. It doesn’t hit hard until the year Panarin is then off the books. We’d be making up 8 million bucks, the buyout is 3.6…then 1.2 the following 4 years
Or a trade is not out of the question. But either way he gone imo |

No more buyouts!
If we are trading Goodrow, I am sure something can be easily arranged to send him back to San Jose. He had some wonderful moments in his career there and I can't see him blocking a return.
But that is for the off-season.... |

I agree. I’d like that instead obviously. Im saying there’s really no choice. Goodrow is out the door. We can’t ignore next years finances tho |
