I don’t think they can call anyone up. Due to cap space they will have to play a man short

Isnt there a minimum of dressed players required though?

Guess who scored for Ottawa tonight

Not sure, I know Larry Brooks mentioned in his article tonight Kane won’t be available until Wednesday earliest and they would have to play a man short tomorrow

I guess that means even if Lindgren needs to go on LTIR that he wont and will be considered a scratch for the game. Technically still making him apart of the roster.

Sorry, I disagree on the LT part. Look at the team's D when he was out after Game 1 against Pittsburgh and what happened when he returned. He is a vital member of the blue line. The hit was dirty, PK needs better eyesight
- airjan23

I love Lindgen and would love to keep him long term. Lindy and Fox are the new Leetch and Beuk. Problem is, Lindy's body is going to break down like Girardi's and will have to be bought out. I'd give him 3 years max.
PK Slewban said the hit was clean, that's all I need to know. Mess seemed like he was holding back on calling him a POS.

You can play with less than 20 dressed in cases like this. Rutherford cut our cap too close a few years ago and we had to play a handful of games with less than 20 and only 5 Dmen.

Why does this bother you so much the epitome of society all in one post. Forgive me for being a positive fan. I’ll be better and think of something horrible I dislike about them. Maybe the hotdogs at the Garden

I do think though this Kane deal finally is official prior to the kings game at 5pm tomorrow. Should be a fun day

Do we have enough cap room?
Crazy that the deal is essentially done but has to wait for cap semantics.

Yea I think tomorrow is the first day the money works out as long as they find a 3rd team to help with the cap hit

Id laugh if he is on a plane to NY in the morning, trade occurs at 5PM, hes on the ice with the Rangers for pregame warmups, and is in the lineup for the game.

Wonder who it is. Thought Kravs was going to be part of the deal.

We’re going back to the old days of trading away the future for a bunch of aging stars. Not liking what Drury has done lately.

Gauthier has the tools. I’ll give GG some blame on that. I was really high on him I think I made that known as well haha

It’s for a guy who desperately wants to play here. And it’s not gonna cost us much of anything, watch. There is no other suitors because we have Panarin. Dismiss it if you want but it’s 100% why he’s ranger

In about week, maybe two, you’ll be like oh ok I get it now.

We need to see him play in MSG and just watch what happens. All the hearsay I do and you do or Tom do is all moot until we see him on the ice here. I’m 100% confident you’ll be amazed. To which I’m sure means nothing to any of you

As long as were not giving up any more first round picks we will be fine. Theres a lot of youth in this organization and as long as we keep those 1st rounders, were fine. All things considered, we still have picks in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounds in all of the upcoming drafts except a 2025 2nd.

if they can keep this years I’m fine giving up one of the next two. 2-3-4 rds meh, trade em all (ok not all, but doesn’t really concern me giving those up)

Winning teams make bold moves, and we’re making them as bold as possible and I think they get McCabe too. He has a 93% on his little pie chart thingamabob

Youre so out of control blinded by getting Kane, you just cant comprehend how absolutely irrational this kind of comment is.

This is why Im not sure, even if Lindgren is out for a while, they put him on LTIR.

The only way it works is if they trade a current Dman for someone else making similar money +/- 200k.
