The problem is his 10 million dollar RFA tender that he is automatically getting next year

Sabres don’t have 10 mill to throw around like that without losing someone

- Sabretooth9

What!!!! The Sabres are still 2 million dollars under the floor even with all the extensions kicking in next year. This is just a excuse not to do anything. Sabres are one of the only teams that could handle his QO next year.

The Sabres have 25 million in cap space next year as it stands right now.

Also Timo will not get 10 mil next year.

If I’m a betting man he gets 8 years and 7.75-8 million a year.

Really?
Please explain with specificity as a general statement like this has zero credence.

Sure his one year tender is 10 mil.

That’s for 1 year.

It’s either
10 mil guaranteed for 1 year
Or
64 mil guaranteed over the next 8 years.

I'd pay him $9 over 6.
Let's learn from the mistakes of others.
Either that, or front load the contract by as much as possible to reduce the Cap hit of a buyout in years 6, 7, 8

If true, dumb move.

Well maybe it is, heard the Sabres made a call last night after they found out about Tuch. Probably checking the price.

Or the Sabres don’t want to pay the price to acquire him.

This is the move that I’m 90% sure when I see the price to acquire him I’ll be floored the Sabres wouldn’t match it.

Atleast they tried. That is also why I brought up kane. Plug and play on the 1st line

Price is high because he’s worth it and we don’t want to pay.

Eventually with all the 1st or 2nd round picks. We will have to move them. It’s not possible to keep them all

Wouldn't surprise me, Servelli was reporting yesterday thought it was gonna go down last night. Got a shout out from my friend they were making a call last night. And then Servelli came back out last night and said the trade won't happen until Tomorrow. Got a bit excited when I saw that tweet from Servelli, but the Sabres aren't gonna pay the Cost.

Cross-checked in the spine 2 games in a row will do that
