nope, use him for trade bait for Sarros. I throw in Johnson too assuming he is not signinh in buffalo, that player equates to a 2nd round pick as that is what we would get for Johnson if he walks and dont sign with us.
For Sarros, I would trade something like this, Portillo, Johnson and a 2nd, throw in Olo if you have to. - hehateme
Olofsson probably has more trade value then any of
Portillo, johnson or a 2nd individually.
You have him as the throw in? 🤔 |

yeah I get that..... But high profile talent does not stick in college if they do they don't play for the team that drafted them. usually come out after sophomore year.

i get what your saying but they could just sign "guy" i the offseason - hubie
Of course they can. Like I said, I don't know what direction they're going in. But if they want pix n prospies, having that tandem along with 3 -4 pieces from Buffalo could be a nice transition.

All I will say further is that is speculative at best. I would imagine there was at least an hour of conversation with his reps and a few management people. What was said in those conversations maybe make it to this board like 4-5 people down the line. The game telephone is played in 3rd grade comes to mind. - SDSabre

For Saros, I would over pay. That trade is fair, you are getting a very good Goalie Prospect in Potillo one of the best College Dmen in Johnson a 2nd round pick and OLO.
I am just saying, Saros I would overpay for.

The guy hasn't taken a short cut once in his life. He takes the long way around everywhere he plays.
Why change now when its worked out for him every step of the way?
He'll probably take his time in the A as well. - DirtyDan
I agree he will. We'll see him in 2 years. All the more reason to question where we are at goalie right now and where we've been the last two years. |

LeBrun says Sabres have real interest in chiquorin (no poop) but the price is still unrealistic. Chad follows up and says they've contacted yotes at least three times and Billy is being a chode.
If they're for real about trading him at the TDL, the Sabres will be back in serious talks.
As a few here have confirmed as well. |

irrelevant.
Just like we have Levi. Yes I know Ask is ahead.
UPL gets them to when Askarov emerges. They can go with UPL/Askarov next season and split starts. - TheSabresTaco
They have a serviceable goalie beyond Saros. I would think they would want another prospect/pick |

where is there a better situtation? - hubie
Somewhere close to home or warm?
Maybe a perianal winning franchise?
Maybe an ahl team not located in Rochester?
Players choose other teams annually around these parts.
The Sabres may like him more then he likes us.
I'm not trying to be argumentative, I agree that the path to the nhl is bright in buffalo |

I’m not trying to argue, and it’s certainly possible I missed that day where verified reporters and/or management said they would have preferred Levi sign and not go back to college. Other than these things happening it’s speculative or reading between the lines. KA saying something to the effect of we’d love to have him here and all that jazz doesn’t exactly mean that, imo. |

The only thing we know about Levi is he dominates college kids. We knew that last year, did we not? I guess we also know he doesn't have the heart of Pat Roy, but then again who does? I'm sure Northeaster University is a life changing experience and all, but I'll never pretend I respect someone who ducks competition in the name of development. - lacaprup
This is one of the worst takes I’ve ever read on this site 🤣

He's well worth the cost. With the game the Sabres like to play, they need a guy who can make a few more great saves. If you can find a place for Comrie, even better.

He can sign early and burn a year towards his big contract, and has a realistic chance to make the team. The Sabres are not the dumpster fire they were when he was drafted and are not a bad spot to go at this point, especially for a defenseman. We'll see what happens, but it's not a forgone conclusion that he's leaving. You also have to think Adams has had discussions with him and knows which way he is leaning, if he's planning to dip it likely won't be a surprise to KA. |

they basically came out and said he chose school. HE said he wanted to go back to school.
