Can you break that down in simple terms what all that means?

The flyers passed on Robertson for him too

Yet another in a seemingly endless list of complete draft bungles by the Flyers.

My personal favorite is still 2013. Flyers had Sam Morin and Mirco Mueller near the top of their draft board for some reason. Both are retired now.

I'm so glad Torts has fixed the defense and compete level that were such a problem under AV.

Also glad that getting rid of overpaid malcontents like Ghost, Voracek and Giroux fixed the locker room and turned the Flyers into a team worth supporting again.

Wowsers Trousers that Jeannot trade! I mean last time I questioned TBL they went to the finals the next three years. But man that is a headscratcher.

Tortorella should win the Jack Adams hands down. So I'm told.

It would make a lot more sense if Jeannot's scoring hadn't cratered this season, making last year look like a fluke.

Their window is closing probably a last effort type of move

It's an ugly, ugly drafting history. It's like they're trying to be this bad. You'd think that may, just once or twice, they might make a mistake and pick a really great player by accident. But no!!

Looks like the honeymoon period is pretty much over for Torts. Players are starting to get fed up with him.

Can't imagine they wouldn't give up that package for Laughton. Flyers could have taken back a contract to make the money work.

Chuck has no interest in moving the core players. With all the winning they have done cant blame him. Amazing he has no interest in moving anyone of value.

- hello it's me 2050

Well, there is the fact that Jeannott only makes 800k and is a pending RFA. Laughton makes 3m and has 3 more years left.

I understand you don't think stuff like that factors in but in the real world it does.

You might be right. To me it is more about the cream rising to the top. Teams fighting for playoff spots are more talented and now they are focused too.

Was the compete level not problem under AV?

hence I said take a contract back to make the money work. Guess you missed that part.

either way Laughton has value and they refuse to trade him.

No I didn't miss that part. I just ignored it because the rest of the post warranted it. Plus I looked at Tampa's roster and was trying to figure out what player Tampa would be sending back to make the money work taking into consideration the years involved and whether or not that player was better than Laughton.

Since I don't do my deals on NHL 22 these things factored in.

Apparently, the Wild are trying to get rid of Greenway. If the Wild offered a 2nd or 3rd round pick to take on the salary would you do it? A second rounder would get it done for me. Not sure a 3rd would.

This deal would include getting rid of JVR to the Wild. Not sure taking on Greenway is worth it, however. He's been bad this year.

Flyers taking on a struggling player with 2 more years at 3M is not something they should be doing just to get a 2nd round pick.
