Good to know that your obsession with Torts is never ending. Eh what? - Phillywhiteout
I wouldn't call it an obsession.
By the way, I'm still waiting for you to show me how I've backtracked on my opinions. |

I didn't see the game as I said, but I saw the Torts presser and he gave Desnoyers a very positive review. He had 14 minutes of ice time in his first game, so he must have been doing something right. On another note, I see that Angelo was a -4. I swear this guy is Yandle with a little better offensive upside. - Phillywhiteout
Yandle was a -47 last year. He's bad defensively but not Yandle bad. |

By the way, I'm still waiting for you to show me how I've backtracked on my opinions. - MJL Perhaps you didn't back track. You were just wrong and have trouble admitting it. The Coots contract was an albatross waiting to happen and it happened quickly with his bad back. You thought Myers would succeed in Tampa when he has proven over and over that he isn't an NHL defenseman. There are others I'm sure, but my foggy brain isn't fully functional this morning. I honestly still don't know what Frost is gonna be at the NHL level. The physical aspect of his game or lack thereof scares the hell out of me.

I don't think I was wrong about either situation. I'm glad though that you admitted you were wrong. I'll take that as an apology. You're also wrong again about what I thought about Myers. Frost for a smaller player does not have a lack of physical play.
If you're going to call someone out, be prepared to back it up. You obviously weren't. |

And now you are back tracking cause I certainly remember you saying that you liked the Coots contract and that Myers would most likely succeed in a place like Tampa. I will also have to disagree about Frost. When they play more physical teams he is overmatched and it seems quite obvious to me.

Still not sure who fits going forward. Fletch needs some more time. I know Bill doesnât like the word incompetent but the definition from Websters ânot having or showing the necessary skills to do something successfullyâ âŚ.I personally think the term/word fits 100%. This is a Week where Fletcher has to engage with other GMs and if his last 3 years have taught us anything, Fletchâs inconsistency will be on full display. |

"Perhaps you didn't backtrack" I was trying to be gracious by taking it as an apology but since you now doubled down.
You crack me up. Again, how am I backtracking? What is wrong with you. I didn't say anything about the Couturier contract. Nor did I change anything I said about Myers in the past. Is it some fantasy world you live in where you invent your own reality?
Frost is not overmatched in any way. |

I donât want Cuckles making any trades. What I want is for Dave Scott to grow a pair and fire him and his fat ass sidekick today. And, if that chaw spitting fossil Bob Clarke doesnât like it, block his phone and let him stew in Florida.
My memories of the Flyers go back to the early 70s and this is as bad as its ever been.
Incompetent GM
Leagueâs worst developmental dept
Leagueâs worst medical/training staff
An outdated and out of touch coach
A horrific roster devoid of top end talent
A weak prospect pool and no 2nd round picks til the 2nd coming.
Itâs an absolute disgrace. For the love of God, please stop buying tickets, stop buying merch and stop watching games. An empty arena and a massive loss in revenue is the only thing that will ever get Comcastâs attention. |

What are you talking about? Get a few players back from injury, spend some cap space and this team is right back in it! We have a coach that should win the Jack Adams award hands down. A GM that has built a quality team beset by bad luck. Just need another Summer of wheeling and dealing to put this team right back on the path to the Cup! |

I think at least half of this post is an overreaction. Iâll give you Fletcher being an incompetent GM but we need to see the James van Riemsdyk return. Carter Hart, Samuel Ersson, Owen Tippett, Wade Allison, Cam York, Morgan Frost and Noah Cates are having good (not great) seasons. Now we have to see what Tyson Foerster, Cutter Gauthier, Elliot Desnoyers, Bobby Brink, Egor Zamula, Ronnie Attard and Adam Ginning have to offer. Itâs not like the Flyers have absolutely nothing to offer and everything that comes through the pipeline is an absolute flop. |

Truth is some of these guys are having good seasonsâŚ.but good seasons in Flyer land is different from what was considered good 20 years ago. The bar is much lower. Good for us now is showing the ability to play in this league. I agree we have to hope some of these prospects hit, but the Flyers over the last 10 years have really not done a very good job over all with development. Our expectations are lower now. |

I disagree on all counts and this convo might as well end cause we are getting nowhere. Everyone is living in a fantasy according to you. You indeed said both those things that I mentioned. You liked the Coots contract (AAV) and you also fancied Myers skills. Frost indeed looks overmatched against better checking teams and Hexy sucks as a GM too.
- Phillywhiteout
There seems to be a comprehension issue with you. I said a lot of things about Myers and about Couturier. You keep saying that I've backtracked on things when I clearly haven't. I've given you multiple opportunities to show how. Frost is in his 2nd full NHL season and is progressing. He is not overmatched.
Bottom line is that your comment about backtracking and now the Hextall comment is just childish. You didn't like a comment I made so you respond with this nonsense. Rather than actually address the comment made. |

He excels against teams that don't check like the Oilers, Habs and Desert Dogs, and then he disappears against the better checking teams (better teams in general). Didn't see the game last night, but I see that he was a -3. No surprise there whatsoever. |

I dispelled that myth previously as about half of Frost's point production has come against better teams.
The Flyers lost 7-0 last night. Tippett, Seeler, Ristolainen and Laughton were also a -3. Angelo was a -4. |
