It makes perfect sense. San is a better goalie than Felix. The coaches do not trust Felix. They are trying to win games. Seems pretty simple to me.

On a side note not 1 flyers player less JVR in trade rumors. This dumb GM doesn't want to move his torts "type" players like Laughton TK Ivan and Hart. Still thinks they can win with that group.

Look at teams in the division and conf. Where they are today and where they will be in 5 years. Flyers will not make the playoffs or contend in those 5 years. They are near the bottom in that current and future timespan.

What are you talking about? Get a few players back from injury, spend some cap space and this team is right back in it! We have a coach that should win the Jack Adams award hands down. A GM that has built a quality team beset by bad luck. Just need another Summer of wheeling and dealing to put this team right back on the path to the Cup!

I think at least half of this post is an overreaction. I’ll give you Fletcher being an incompetent GM but we need to see the James van Riemsdyk return. Carter Hart, Samuel Ersson, Owen Tippett, Wade Allison, Cam York, Morgan Frost and Noah Cates are having good (not great) seasons. Now we have to see what Tyson Foerster, Cutter Gauthier, Elliot Desnoyers, Bobby Brink, Egor Zamula, Ronnie Attard and Adam Ginning have to offer. It’s not like the Flyers have absolutely nothing to offer and everything that comes through the pipeline is an absolute flop.

Scott must have bought the narrative if only Coots, Ellis, and Atkinson were healthy this would be a playoff team so.Fletcher is not to blame. I for one believed no way Fletcher makes it to the trade deadline. Silly me.

I dispelled that myth previously as about half of Frost's point production has come against better teams.

The Flyers lost 7-0 last night. Tippett, Seeler, Ristolainen and Laughton were also a -3. Angelo was a -4.

Henry Thrun (LHD- NCAA Harvard) will not be signing with Anaheim.

Could he be the next Adam Fox? Probably not, but maybe worth the risk to send some kind of asset to the Ducks for his rights.


Starting to think it's not the Flyers GMs, but maybe its a league wide shadowban on the organization to not deal with them unless it's completely one way towards the other team.

Truth is some of these guys are having good seasons….but good seasons in Flyer land is different from what was considered good 20 years ago. The bar is much lower. Good for us now is showing the ability to play in this league. I agree we have to hope some of these prospects hit, but the Flyers over the last 10 years have really not done a very good job over all with development. Our expectations are lower now.

Development wise, I feel Ivan Provorov has seen the biggest disservice of any player who has come along in the past 10 years. I won’t argue with anyone who doesn’t want to see him on the top unit but I’m within the upmost belief you have to live and die on the second unit with York. Provorov’s contract only looks bad if he’s not seeing offensive opportunities. For whatever reason, Torts came into the organization with a negative view of Provorov and even chose to give second unit PP duties to Egor Zamula, which makes zero sense to me.

You’re not wrong but I do think if Cutter Gauthier and Tyson Foerster reach their fullest potential and we hit on a really good center, this might boost the faith of the fanbase again. We all know what really hurt us was missing Nolan Patrick.
