I got bored while waiting today so I thought about the best Penguins to play for the Penguins between post-lockout. I didnt count guys like Leclair, Recchi, Ziggy, and Lemieux given their ages and it was only for a year or two. So really I guess from 2008-2023. This is the list I came up with.
Jake-Crosby-Hossa
Kunitz-Malkin-Iginla
Dupuis-Staal-Kessel
Hagelin-Bonino-Neal
Gonchar-Letang
Oprik-Schultz
Martin-Lovejoy
MAF
Murray
Only area I wasnt sure was if someone was more deserving than Bonino and our lack of depth at RHD. I was obviously a bit bias towards Stanley Cup winners.
Probably the most underrated guy on that list would be Neal. He fell apart quickly and was scapegoated for a lot of the problems in those days, but that guy could shoot a puck. Most overrated would be tough, but I think you can make a really solid argument for MAF. - SuperHenderson13
I mean Lemieux should at least be the 4c lol he had 22 points in 26 games at 40 years old. And Palffy left but was a point per game player. |

They won a few they deserved to lose recently so they were due to get goalied or have bounces go against them. - Feds91Stammer
Yeah that's usually how it goes over the course of a season. I also have Stammer, Point and Elliott. Regardless of how the B's look, Tampa are still the king of the east until another team represents the east in the finals. |

Yeah they are on autopilot until the playoffs right now. They seem to be able to turn it on when they really need to. |

Both were only here for about 12 games
