I don’t mind him as a 7th-8th d man who is put into the lineup when the game is going to be physical as hell.
Problem is after bringing him to Toronto there will be fans and media who make him out as a top 4 former first rounder *shakes head* |

Benn can be physical in the press box. Trade for guys that are going to be used |

No one.
Forwards are fine now. Top line is strong as hell, 2nd line is strong as hell, and even the bottom 6 is strong as hell now that Kerfoot and Acciari are down there.
So is the D but a bit more physical would be nice. Essentially find a replacement for Holl if he’s truly been overcome by Liljegren for the 2nd pairing (we’ll see about that once Sandin is back) but that replacement has to be as strong defensively so he can be used on the PK but just a bit more physical. No offence necessary there if paired with Sandin, only a bonus if the guy has some skill there.
Goalies… a bit of a gamble but roll with what they currently have, they’re good enough to win so long as the team plays their defensive game properly. |

Marner and Nylander being flipped again
And it’s looking like Liljegren might truly be the 2nd now
Lines at Leafs practice
Bunting – Matthews – Marner
Tavares – O'Reilly – Nylander
Engvall – Kampf – Jarnkrok
Aston-Reese – Acciari – Kerfoot
Anderson
Rielly – Brodie
Giordano – Liljegren
Sandin – Holl

So its funny to me Kravtsov was traded for not much and the other guy was waived today. Some Chicago fan thought they would be the prospects to go on the Kane trade. |

Sounds good but why does it matter? Would he be working on a crossword puzzle with a pencil up in the press box if he was here? |

I also think Nylander being a shooter might benefit O’Reilly and JT
O’Reilly a solid C, JT is now the board work winger the line needed, which means they need one of the two primary shooters (Matthews/Nylander in my eyes)on that line who crashes the net but finds the open spots and skates the crap out of the opposition these days |

Please no Schenn AS A #1. Could not wait for him to leave town the last time because he is a solid #5 throwing bombs and Leafs thought he was a #1 PMD. - Leafsmart

Yup, smart move to put grab some skill for free and give him true offensive ice time to try to find his game again |

I'm going to ding this bell one more time, hoping to manifest it for the Leafs.
I'm assuming there are at MAX two more deals to be made: 1D and 1 Bottom 6. If for some reason Dubas moves Holl and Kerfoot there could be 3 moves made: 2D and 1 Bottom 6.
This is the way I would like to see the line up improve and would be hard as (frank) to play against in the playoffs is: adding 1 Bottom 6 and 2 D:
Bunting, Matthews, Marner
Tavares, O'Rielly, Nylander
Engvall, Kampf, Jarnkrok
Jeannot, Acciari, ZAR
Rielly, Brodie
Soucy/Gavrikov/Chooch, Lily (order of preference for me, $ and cost)
Gio, Schenn
Timmins
Samsonov
Murray |

Soucy isn't being sold but ill allow you to dream lol
Otherwise fair targets. Jeannot is a good target if Nashville is selling

Just a reminder that Schenn was #7 with TBL both seasons he was with them and played 19 of a possible 49 post-season games.
To wit: Schenn as a bottom pair on the Leafs? Yuck. |

So sit Holl and hope Schenn can handle the PK?
He played it in Vancouver but their PK is also last in the league
https://www.statmuse.com/...team-penalty-kill-leaders - Dozzer
Trade Holl, hoping for a asset back instead of letting him walk.
Use the new acquisition on D to cover his iffy PK ability. Which is why I would prefer a Stay at Home D who can PK and not Chychrun.
I only want Schenn throwing hits on the bottom pairing with Gio. If he can handle the PK too, cool, but I would expect Keefe to be the judge of that.
Hope you're doing okay Dozzer, back read that you're in the hospital for tests and stuff. Bent not broken brother! |

Thanks for the dream Aaron.
Jeannot is tough as nails, would love him.
You could replace Soucy's name with anyone that has his size and playing style.
Leafs need a big, stay-at-home guy, PKs and hits. They have plenty of non-hitting puck movers. |
