Jan: You need a blog adjustment to correct an amount for the Rangers sake in order to maintain their grip easier hopefully on 3rd place in the Metro. Division.
Under the, "A Few Thoughts" section - Item 1 - Paragraph 2:
The Rangers still have 23 games remaining as opposed to 20.
Those are their 3 important games in hand on the 4th place Isles who trail the Rangers by 8 pts., with the Pens next in line at 10 pts behind the Rangers, but having 1 game in hand on us, plus 3 head to head games still to play against us within just a 7 days period in mid March. |

Is this the shortest/fewest worded post you've made here? - aecliptic
No. I actually made the shortest post ever in character spaces on this blog some months back in reply to a member. It may have been to you, which I will repeat right here below:

Watching the Chicago at Sharks game late night, Domi deposited another high rising wicked wrist shot goal in the long side upper corner again. But this time without being on a line with the idle Patrick Kane who was sent home for tj's sake likely. I believe Domi himself had at least 4 goals and 6 or more assists this week alone, just as Kane had success but with even slightly higher numbers.
That may have been in part why some sources, for one, The Fourth Period had the Rangers looking at Domi as a possible deadline pickup a few weeks back when they scouted the Hawks in Chicago.

There is no reason to think Drury won’t trade for a pick down the road after trading picks, for Kane. Like he did with Nils. For those worried about trading picks
Maybe Zac for instance. Not now, just saying they can recoup these things |

We can’t do anymore forwards. I will say domi has been really good this year. And would’ve been a nice consolation prize. Supposedly there is mutual love there and he’ll at least probably re up in Chicago in the summer |

No. I was only acting as a ref to penalize you and aecliptic with 10:00 misconducts, which I saw you both served in full & more, since not posting battle comments against each other for at least that time after my penalties assessed to each of you.
As per Jan's error, I knew the Rangers had 23 games remaining, and 3 games in hand on the 4th place Isles 8 pts. behind us. Without those 3 in hand, I'd be more worried given the Rangers poor defensive play since Feb. 6th, minus the 6-2 win vs. Carolina two Saturdays ago. |

Part of Messier's response to the hit was his admission, in 20 years of NHL hockey, he was never hit like Lindgren because he never put himself in such a vulnerable position. This is akin to a fella drifting over the middle with his head down. I don't want those hits out of hockey. I don't think it was a dirty hit. Unfortunate result to the hit, but nothing that should be out of hockey in my opinion .
In my opinion Rasmus Dahlin was given a much dirtier crosscheck to his upper back by Carter Verhaeghe Saturday night in Florida. His face smacked right off the crossbar of the net. He left the game and came back, so you haven't heard about it. |

Well, part of that with Messier is, now illegal, he would stick the butt end of his stick out into anyone that tried to blind side him. |

It was close. I’m gonna give Oshie a bit of a pass because he looked genuinely concerned after it. So I wonder if he heard a break or something 😬 his brother is his teammate so I don’t think it was any malice to it at all |

Apologies for my ignorance here, but I don't spend any time reading the NYR board. There isn't any real way that the Rangers can resign/extend Kane is there? Looks like they have about $16-17M to sign about 10 players next year? Unless he signs for about $3M per year, it can't really happen can it? Giroux signed for $6.5 (sort of comparable....). |

Forgive me for being hopeful 😱 - Slimtj100
TJ you are thru the roof irrational. Essentially the Rangers are going all in now. If we dont win the Cup this year you do know we lost a significant amount of picks and prospects. The Bruins, Tampa, Leafs and Canes are all legit contenders in the East, showing some disrespect to the Devils and then you have Vegas, Colorado and Oilers as potential opponents in the final. This isnt going to guarantee or going to be a cake walk. |

well, what can you do, the trade is happening, may as well get on board
luckily the cushion for 3rd place is still pretty big and they have the whole month of March to figure out how all this is gonna work
one of craziest times I have ever seen with this team though I tell you that

Games in hand and facing opponent directly are great, but only if playing well. If playing poorly, then those augment what I originally wrote. |

Jimmy you know I’m pretty level headed when it comes to this team but am I crazy to say that maybe we overrated Tarasenko so much? I’ll take the fact that it takes time to mesh but I didn’t know he coasted so much coming back and that he was such a liability defensively. |

Great article Jan, what an embarrassment on national tv. At least Goodrow stood up for his teammate. One of the reasons the rangers got him is for his character. I know many say he was over paid but you can’t have enough of those guys. Washington has plenty. I think overall Chris has done a good job putting together a competitive team. I also believe that Vancouver was worried dealing for kravs is he is just going to go back to Russia, hence the low return. I am also against the Kane move. They have enough scoring. Toughness and a defenseman should be on order. Like I said yesterday, since this trade the team has been flat out terrible. |

he hasn't been good, but everyone has hit the skids at the same time
everyone needs to start playing about 10 times better than they are playing right now and we'll see how it shakes out
ultimately this may be looked upon as one of biggest foul ups of all time when all is said and done, a very good team screwed up by trades, but really all we can do is hope now and analyze it all later

Its not gonna happen, we will get Kane and thats it. Enjoy your victory.
Honestly, all this makes it very hard to enjoy getting a player on this team that Ive been a big fan of.
This isnt a video game, you cant just swap out a low overall for a higher overall and expect the simulation to work out how you want it. It doesnt matter if you can make the money work on ACGM. Sorry, this is real life, with real people. - aecliptic
True, but laff was also held out. Wonder if there is a bigger deal to be had. Afraid to imagine the return for Kane and laff. |
