Miller tho. Ooof. He’s gonna get a game suspension for that. What a terrible penalty and thing to do. - Slimtj100

Not true - way out west
Is that they are eligible to be sent down if they didn’t play at all? And then it accrues more cap space?
Them not playing has to somehow directly or indirectly lead to more cap space otherwise it makes no sense. |

So far we know a 1st and Zetterlund. There’s more, probably a high end prospect |

The rangers didn’t want to risk him getting hurt because they are sending him down to Hartford tomorrow. Can’t send down an injured player. If they have a 23 man roster everyone counts against the cap wether they play or not. |

Elliot Friedman saying the Meier trade isn’t a done deal yet. Injury concerns with one of the players involved. |

So it may have been explained back in this thread, but why are we dressing but not playing Schneider and carpenter? Is it because they're being traded or something? - MeltingPlastic
The Kane trade has reportedly been agreed upon by both teams, though not made public of its details. So cap space was necessary to be made ASAP despite them initially yesterday trading Kravtsov to Vancouver, and waiving Leschyshyn, succeeded by him clearing waivers today & loaned to Hartford. That required the need to recall Carpenter for the game for roster compliance purposes whether playing or not. But all that still wasn't enough cap space created to fit in Kane. The maximum savings from Leschshysn assigned to Hartford won't accrue enough until likely March 2nd, possibly delaying the Kane trade to even be made official until the following day's trade deadline.
So another player(s) move had to be made to provide additional needed cap space ASAP. Since a sudden separate trade was not in the works, someone additional was forced to first sit out this game (Schneider), plus one has to still be assigned to Hartford if no additional cap savings trade occurs.
The only Ranger who is WAIVERS-EXEMPT from having to clear waivers in order to be assigned there is Schneider, who for now may miss the next game or two, barring another cap savings move(s) made. For example, such as putting Lindgren on LTIR if its better he recovers 100% from yesterday's injury sustained prior to playing again. |

Source says K'Andre Miller is maintaining that the spitting match penalty was accidental. No. 79 connected with Doughty to explain it was not on purpose and that he felt bad that it happened.
Apparently was a good conversation.

That’s good. Hopefully this goes away. We don’t need this in top of the all other stuff. He’s gonna sit a game tho |

This one made me dizzy man - Slimtj100
It made me dizzy trying to listen to some of the experts from various sources, and put their separate pieces of the jigsaw puzzle together, with the final piece for now appearing to be their need to send Schneider down as the final piece of cap savings necessary for your personal dream to come true, tj. that barring some cap saving trade or other cap savings means.

Sounds like the Rangers have no plans to put Lindgren on LTIR.

Idk maybe Doughty can say they talked it out. Idk if that would fly with the league tho. We really need him even if it’s the Flyers |

On way home from game. One of weirdest, craziest most exhilarating days I’ve eve had as a fan.
When Mika came out for 3rd I think I cheered as hard as I did when we won the Laf lottery. |
