I’m not worried about the losses these past 4 games to be honest. Happens throughout every season to every team. I’m more worried about not being physical enough come playoff time. Kreider used to be a physical player, that’s all but gone from his game now which is weird. The top 9 will literally have no one, maybe Trocheck? that plays physical and I don’t think that’s a recipe for success come playoff time. - nyrangers9479
I’m not sure the Devils are as physical as we are now.

He is an UFA at the end of the season. They will lose him for absolutely NOTHING, and he has all the power because he can contractually dictate what team he goes to. Again, no leverage for Chicago... - TommyGTrain
They can just say whatever and not trade him rather then sell him for beans. Again, they have ALL of the leverage if they chose to use it. Having the power to nix anything is literally the definition of leverage. |

This is the dumbest conversation when you take into account that the trade is done already.
Kane’s locker was cleaned out. |

You’re right about one thing. It is the dumbest conversation but not for the reasons you’re stating. |

I mean the rangers are going to end up with kane, it’s going to be for significantly less than if Chicago had the freedom to trade him to any team they wanted, that’s a fact. So I’m not sure why in your mind you are confident you are winning the argument |

To me it looks like the Rangers have made a calculated plan to try and match your firepower. |

The devils are one of if not the fastest team in the league. The playoffs are just way tighter and the game changes. Every team has to adjust |

As someone who has lived and died with this team 24 hours a day 7 days a week since 1979, I tell you this is one of the craziest times I can remember. Lol.
How can you not fear totally crashing and burning? I get it.
But right before the deadline deals in 1994 they lost 7-3 to Chicago on a Friday night and never looked worse.
This is just fascinating poop right now - jimbro83
The difference those players were strategically acquired to fill needs on the 94 team. Adding VT and Kane feels like Sather all over again. |

The only part of the equation that could have ended the trade is Chicago. Am I right about that? |

Thanks for the validation. What’s the hold up with Kane coming to the rangers if the trade is done? |

Which sather trades do they remind you of though. Ultimately we are looking at the 30th overall pick and Hunter skinner for tarasenko |

The salary cap. Rangers can’t fit him into their cap until March 1st |

Remember when MSL only wanted to come to the NYR and we still gave up (2) 1sts and Callahan for him …… |

It’s not an argument when you’re right which you know I am. They were the only team that could’ve said no and the trade would have never happened. Period. Whether Chicago used that leverage(probably didn’t) remains to be seen but they are the only team that really ultimately had it. |

I do. But it wasn’t same thing. MSL Was not a pending UFA. He was signed for the following season too, and Tampa also kept half his cap hit for 2014-15 season. |

Exactly. That’s why the Rangers are going to play today with 11 forwards and 6 defensemen. |
