Here’s my take on Kane and the reason I don’t think he’s a good fit for the Rangers. U can have a player that plays like that on ur team, sure. But we now have 3 players like that in the top 6 (Panarin Kane Tarasenko) That isn’t a recipe for success come playoff time. Like I said, u can have 1, MAYBE 2, guys that play a lazy defensive game, but not 3 in the top 6. - nyrangers9479
I also think the bigger problem in all of that is the style of play GG preaches doesnt suit guys like that. I hope Im wrong.
So no credit the 7th overall, Lias I assume, for the Cuylle pick? You guys can’t have it both ways - Slimtj100
He’s the 2nd round pick I said we turned those 3 guys into. And gotten through it? Our prospect pool is garbage and our AHL team stinks. There’s nothing in the system worth being excited over except Othmann at this point.

We fired the guys responsible for almost everything you are complaining about. Except the Nemeth thing.

Well, Id also argue that many of the guys we drafted over the years are all playing in the NHL.
Imagine if LAF, Kakko, Chytil, Miller, Schneider, Cuylle, Lundkvist… were all in the AHL at some point in the last 2-3 years…

All the talking and arguing about it is over. He’s coming. We’ll see the results one way or the other. The assumptions about what will happen is what has pissed me off. I can only use the past performance that I hang my hat on. Panarin played with Dryden Fkin Hunt for a year and was damn near phenomenal. Now he gets his favorite linemate ever. The people who dismiss this are foolish

When they were both in the 20’s. A lot different at 34 years old. We shall see I guess.
We aren’t going to have any room for prospects anyway until like 2030 - Slimtj100
Oh Im not making this negative, matter of fact Im saying its positive, we got fortunate in drafts and actually did well enough that many of the kids we drafted have become regular starters for us.

If they put him with Trocheck his job may be to be more defensive, would you agree? Like he’s the 3rd man high kind of thing when they’re on the ice and let them do their thing
The grasping at straws to be negative is at an all time high here this entire season - Slimtj100
So we should be happy we got absolutely nothing for a former 9th overall pick? Happy we’re adding another player that doesn’t back check or play physical for a playoffs that are going to be extremely physical? I’m excited for the playoffs, but I’m also being honest about how I think we’re going to do.

You said yourself you don’t want to trade Bedard Sykora or one other I can’t remember. So you obviously like our prospects, or some of them

It isn’t Drurys fault he was a cry baby lol I’m not getting into this with you. You’re too stubborn to see any other view on it
I’m glad he’s gone and I’ll never look back in regret about it. It wasn’t gonna happen here.
Gord Clark is to blame. I still see his smug face when he made the pick, he got too cute and it burned the team who fired his sorry ass
