But what about him having the worst analytics of any forward in the nhl the last 3 seasons? - jimbro83
That's not true at all?
There's no such thing as "the worst analytics" |

the last 3 months on a nearly constant basis because TJ and Tom have been arguing about Kane for that long, Tom has posted Kane's 3 year cumulative analytics
they are absolutely horrific
yet....despite that, despite that "every team uses analytics" if Kane didn't have a NMC and was free to be traded to any team in the league, teams would be lining up for him |

5 career playoff overtime winners for Patrick Kane in his career
FIVE
acting lile he's a terrible playoff player is one of funniest things Ive seen in awhile - jimbro83
In the 20 playoff games he's played since he turned 27 years old he's scored 4 playoff goals and is a -4.
Again I'm not saying he's useless, just that you should not expect an elite player here. |

The analytics nerds are so hell bent in one thing that they lose focus of much more important things. It’s the Bible of hockey now, and it ruins normal hockey conversations |

You’ve been using completely irrelevant stats nonstop in your anti-Kane arguments. His at least make sense.
If I’m making a point that Kane is one of most clutch playoff players of all time, countering that it’s been awhile since he did that is a fine thing to come back with. |

Except that he juuuust might still be elite enough to make the difference and go on a heater... And that makes u a lil nervous.
No offense but he's kind of exactly the game breaking type that you guys need to get over the hump. You clearly have enough forecheck pressure types but can't turn that into goals when it matters. Exhibit A: almost all our recent games against the Canes and last year's playoffs. |

He’d be happy to get Patrick Kane just like he was happy to get Mark Recchi and Doug Weight in 2006.

The analytics tell a similar story. You're just arguing with everyone today. Why so glum, sugar plum? |

The last 3 seasons regular season analytics tell a similar story to not having playoff production in awhile? |

Its like the Vesey argument all over again with the stats.
Granted, Kane defensively he really isnt good. |

Ya but 8 years ago in 2015 he had 11 goals in 23 games and that’s what we should expect. Take ur rational statement somewhere else 👀 |

He’s trying to convince you that there is more to a hockey game than analytics. What’s your formula for momentum in a hockey game? You know when a team kills off a 5 min major and subsequently scores a goal and the crowd is in a frenzy..why don’t you measure that Jerry Lewis |

My biggest disappointments, heartache with this team since 2012 have been playoff overtime losses. We just haven’t had a hero when we needed one enough times.
I’m hoping Kane is gonna be that hero we’ve been longing for. |

So you’d just prefer we go with Vesey at top line RW |

Panarin and Kane in the postseason when playing together have a COMBINED 4 goals. We’ll be unstoppable come playoff time with numbers like that. |
