I can’t get on board with adding a guy WELL past his prime, that doesn’t play well in his own end. I think you’re severely overlooking how important that is in the playoffs. We can’t win a cup having 5-4 and 6-5 games all postseason. I hope I’m wrong, but this doesn’t seem to be the best fit. You see how bad Tarasenko is in his own zone? Kane is worse.

One of those was a Stanley cup clinching goal and another he completed a hattrick and clinched the Western conference finals. Very few people ever have that accolade on their resume

So we should be happy we got absolutely nothing for a former 9th overall pick? Happy we’re adding another player that doesn’t back check or play physical for a playoffs that are going to be extremely physical? I’m excited for the playoffs, but I’m also being honest about how I think we’re going to do.
