In catching some of the Dallas at Vegas game last night, word spoken had Vegas's owner being so desperate to win. That despite initially Kane turning down a chance to be dealt there after originally considering it prior to later first reducing his trade options to the Leafs and Rangers only, & ultimately now, the Rangers only.

There was mention of Meier as one option by utilizing their LTIR cap space (the max. being for Stone's injury), which as of late daytime Thursday was $8.8M LTIR available. The drawback which may not matter to their anxious owner was their limited assets the Sharks may want roster wise & prospect wise, outside of Vegas's upcoming 2023 1st Rdr., 2 - 3rds, + 6th & 7th Rdrs.,and their next two years' draft picks in all 7 rounds, with exception for their 4th Rdr. of 2024.

Yeah this has been my guess as well. The condition might be if we win the cup/make the finals instead of re-sign, but probably one of those three. I think this 2nd with conditions to become a '24 first is most likely at this point.

Yes..circumstances are different, but the only thing that matters is that IF Kane wants to play for NYR after this season , then he will give a big discount. He did hold all the cards for a trade and refused everywhere else except NYR.

The Canes have the most LTIR cap space available of any expected deadline buyer in $10.1M to use in trades as of late day Thursday (due mostly to Pacioretty on LTIR).

They likely inquired or will shortly soon about possibly Gavrikov or McCabe as far as upgrading their backline.

Im wondering whos left in terms of firepower, Nucks seem like the parter for them, although Bingo did say they were possibly trying to pry Laine away from CBJ.

While all indications remain positive on a Patrick Kane to #NYR deal eventually coming to fruition, the trade itself likely won't be executed before Wednesday. It could even come closer to Friday's 3 p.m. deadline because the salary cap implications improve each passing day.

In addition, Dave Pagnotta of The Fourth Period stated earlier today that the deal for Kane has been agreed upon. The delay is due to the Rangers to be certain they can fit in Kane roster wise without the necessity of making any more moves, once knowing whether or not Leschyshyn has cleared waivers.

If its all or nothing, I can live with it. If we raise the cup, I think we can all agree that we wouldnt care one bit about a 2024 1st round pick. Im just being a stingy arse, I want to take advantage of the situation as best as possible and give as little as possible for Kane.

I wrote the words on Chychrun's cost of a Coyotes "Rinkside reporter" of Ballys Sports Midwest on one of the prior two blogs. (I'm recalling the precise facts from memory, but obviously in not all the exact words due to its length which was slightly longer.)

The reporter whose name I can't recall said the Chychrun's price was one of two demands in either two 1st Round Picks, or a 1st Rounder and a top prospect equivalent to a 1st rounder.
The reporter also added that if the Coyotes don't receive their demand, Chychrun will not be traded.
