TRADE: Kings acquire the rights to G Erik Portillo from the Sabres for a 2023 3rd RD pick |
|

He doesn't play top pairing in Detroit. They paid the price for a top pair defender that is a 2nd pair defender - manvanfan
You think you are a getting a top pair right shot D for only a 1st and 2nd minus a fourth?
Keep dreaming!
This is a great trade! |

No, I'm thinking you could have had two legit chances at getting the same type of defender in a few years instead of 1. |

Most Canuck fans are idiots…
Watching sports shows some say Hronek is a UFA in 2025. Nope
Cancelling tickets. Go right ahead & pout.
Always said in my 50+ years of being a Canuck fan our fanbase are whiney losers & as much of the problem as anything else. Sure jump on the bandwagon when good times. Sure luv being posers on cel phones then. Etc etc etc.
The media just keeps feeding them… - Nighthawk

More like 4-6 years if lucky. Still the dealing isn’t done. Btw I do like more picks if I never said it. |

That was my point lol
Also call in fans all say he’s 26 when 25. Dumb fans lol
Also nearly all fans & media just parrot the same thing. They feel smarter when in a gang but still are stupid in my books. |

Sat: They aren't done. They want to get a lot more done by the deadline but I don't think one of those players is going to be JT Miller. The sense around the organization is Miller isn't going to get traded (think he means by the deadline).

https://soundofhockey.com/2022/06/06/examining-the-value-of-nhl-draft-picks/
Here's a nice chart of value of draft picks. Some should take a look at it and see value that isn't just 1st or 2nd round pick that is acquired. There's quite a difference of where you are picking in a round. - manvanfan
I rather analyze individual drafts than sampling them in a large group.
This draft is very heavy on high end F’s in the 1st with D being a smattering in the 1st but gets pretty good in the 2nd & later.
2024 I’ve no clue yet but feel free to enlighten me albeit it is early. Thx |

You can be as optimistic as you want but you can't fail to see that where the team is right now, adding a single RHD isn't moving the needle. Making another deal or two isn't moving the needle. There are no prospects coming up that are going to move the needle. They don't have the cap space to move the needle. |

Our 2023 2-3rds 3-4ths could mine some interesting prospects. Clue me in on your ideas. Merci |
