they actually added 400K to their cap, they are retaining 50% of Dadonov (2.5M retained) and adding 2.9M for Gurianov

Once they trade Drouin, Hoffman, Allen, Eddy and Dvorak all for 1st round picks, they will have lots of cap space.

they can retain salary on 2 more players, whether it is for players they are trading or playing middle man for salary retention in between two other teams. I fully expect them to use those 2.
