He also had a really strong playoffs that year too.

Not sure what happened, but he is a big body with some skill.

The Habs have like 12 regulars out, and are not going anywhere. If you are gonna take a shot at a project, why not now when you can give him plenty of ice time to prove himself?

Like I said, worse case, Habs walk away from his RFA at the end of the year.

oh I know he isn't elite 1st line material, but any player who's been scoring around 25 goals per season should automatically generate some interest when they become available on the trade market. the habs could've probably fetched more for him had he not sucked that much this season lol.
