Jesse Puljujarvi to Canes ? Must have been for a 5th and bag of pucks b/c they were about to put him on waivers to clear cap space. |

Oilers need a decent D-man in a bad way. |

For a Finnish wing prospect the Canes drafted in the 3rd round in 2019. |

So probably worse than a 5th and a bag of pucks. Pulju was one of the worst 4th picks in recent memory.
Just another player on Rexy's long list of busts that he can now eat crow on. |

Friedman Reporting Logan Stanley’s name has been talked about a lot, he’s actually surprised he wasn’t part of the Nine trade.
This makes me happy, yes!!!! Trade Logan!!!! |

Poor Logan, he gets so much hate.. 🤣
Yeah, would've been better to keep that 2nd and trade Stanley for Nino but unlikely Stanley alone would've gotten NN. |

I'm still shocked we got NN for just a 2nd so let's not complain. I wonder if outgoing Poille owed Chevy a last-minute favor because after seeing some of the overpays this trade season this trade seems somewhat exceptional from a value standpoint, especially considering the extra year of term |

Yeah NN was a cap dump but Nashville that saved them 4 million next year. Much like the Schmidt trade and the Dillon trade, it only happened a couple months earlier.
Not a bad trade by any means, but at the end of the day it's Perfetti out and NN in and I fail to see how the Jets have improved overall prior to Perfetti's injury.

Rexy must be obese by now, from eating so much crow.

I just read about Elias Lindholm being potentially available. If the Jets are trying to make a legit shot this year, I think he'd be a great add (4.85 AAV). |

Yea heard the runour that Lindholm might be in play. Would be shocked if that runour is true. Like, surely the Flames haven't thrown in the towel, have they? They are our chief rival for final playoff spot, aren't they - Flames and Krakens?
If rumour is true - yes be nice if we were all over that. Lindholm, 28, one year left after this one at $4.85. Maybe Zadorov (unsure of contract status) with him at same time? Really need someone to clear front of net.
Not looking forward to back-to-back against the Oilers this weekend! |

I wasn't complaining, do think it was a decent trade for the Jets, now if Chevy can do two to three more of those to build a proper top 9 we might be in business. |

I would be interested to see how JP plays with Sebastian Aho. That line during the world juniors with him and Laine was dynamic. Could be a sneaky good move by the Canes.
Then again if JP was unable to do anything with McDavid and Draistal, maybe there is no hope left for him....

If Lindholm is in play the Jets should do everything they can to get him! I would also love add Zadarov, the man is mean. Perhaps Logan Stanley can be part of this package? |

Barkov looks like he could be in play as well. This is getting very interesting!
C'mon Chipman make it happen. #firechevy |

Send Wheeler, Stanley and a pick to Po Mo.

Marcus Johansson to the Wild for a 2024 3rd round pick, he was a guy I thought could've been picked up pretty cheaply to improve the bottom or even middle six, only makes $1.1M and doesn't have trade protection.
If Chevy can grab two or three guys like that and completely overhaul the mid/bottom six it'd definitely help. |

If Barkov's in play, all I can say is "WOW!"
Not sure of contract situation, but if any term left, hope he's a JET! |

Oh, see Barkov's signed for $10M next seven years. H-m-m-m? What do you think, people?
Worst case scenario, it opens up Reinhart, Bennett, Verhaeghe and others! |

Nico Sturm would be a good 4th line C to get.
Scott Laughton would be pretty good to play the third line.
But I think Chevy is probably done. All he has left to trade is 3rd round picks. I'd be shocked if he trades a first round pick or any of his prospects |

I think our 2024 1st, Heinola, Stanley, Gustafsson, Pionk, Barron, Appleton, Kulman, Rashevsky, McGroarty, Chibrikov and Nikkanen are all on the table. Perfetti and Lucius?
Now if Barkov was in play - PLD? But 99% unlikely! See Barkov has NMC - so, so much for that idea!
See Schenn to Leafs - Engvall to Islanders - quite the day! |

No thanks to $10M over next 7 years. Barkov has not lived up to those expectations already . He will be another Wheeler contract in 3-4 years.

Yea Barkov has a NMC anyways, which is fine. No gain, no pain!
But wonder if rest of Panthers in play? |
