We didn’t lose a pick that year, we drafted quenneville before Lemieux. Everyone wanted lemieux because he said he wanted the devils to take him.

On the other hand, using us an example has clearly stopped the other teams in the league from violating the spirit of the CBA in regards to salary issues. I mean there's no more crazy contracts. No hiding players on LTIR. No paper moves to stay technically cap compliant. No wheeling and dealing for players who will never suit up again. Yes, it cost us a pick; but it FIXED everything wrong with the league!

Just got to love Mercer's game lately.

There has been a couple of times where Vegas will go wide on Siegenthaler with speed and beat him clean for a scoring chance. He isn't the most nimble of skaters in most circumstances but something about his game has been off lately. Wonder if the coaching staff will rest him for a few games to let him get his feet back under him.

I believe if the devil's have practice today we should have an idea where Meier plays

Does he play with Hughes and bratt, do they split Meier and bratt between lines, if so is Meier with Nico or Hughes, Hughes does well with bratt but could do even more with Meier

Saw some people post that if Meier and bratt stay at their natural RW position that one should be on the 3rd line to keep mercer Nico tatar together but that makes little sense

It makes the most sense to just play him with Jack and Bratt. That top line is rolling so there's no reason to break them up, and last night was probably the best overall game of the season for the entire lineup so I don't think you change anything. Let the team keep rolling, they're playing like they did in November(even the 4th line has been rocking). Sharangovich got benched, and rightfully so, so i wouldnt be shocked if he is the one that sits for Meier tomorrow(if Meier plays).

Shara should definitely sit. Boqvist has been playing great lately and shouldn't come out of the lineup.
