Thats what happens when you overplay your hand and drag it out for an extra ~18 months instead of trading him when his value was at its peak, and then make him sit out for almost 3 weeks while trying to find a trade. Then add onto it that their ownership didnt want any salary retained or brought back in the trade, which also hurts a possible return. Poor management of the situation all around.

This is a wild deadline. Like every player that was even rumored has been traded. There have been surprises. Fun times. And still two more days!

I would love to have Wilson for the first round against the rags. The devils are still going to be swept but at least Wilson will crush them.

Bazinga. And now seeing Elias highlights. Loved watching that guy play. Probably my favorite Devils forward ever, me along with most of the fan base I’m sure.
Erika is freaking incredible lol. She’s so into this Elias interview, plus she’s adorable.

We were pretty spoiled to have Patty for so long. One of the best in the game at what he did. Should be in the hall for sure.

Can’t help but feel like Sharangovich isn’t difficult to play against or drives the advanced stats, but I could be wrong. Could google it. Just feels like he doesn’t fit that well. Top 6 should be good. Not sure what to do with the bottom 6 and who to add and who to take out.

Agree with you about Sharangovich. He has a good shot, but honestly he doesn't really help a line any other way. He's a weird player because he doesn't seem good enough offensively to fit into a definitive top 6 role, but also isnt good enough away from the puck to be a reliable bottom 6 player.

I want it to work so bad because he's a great person, but I honestly wouldn't be shocked if he's someone that gets moved out in the offseason. Feel like it'd be selling low though because he's definitely regressed from his first two seasons.

Nice of the refs to miss a high stick and drew blood on the guy who was involved in the play and allow a goal.

What a fun game, aside from almost blowing a 5-1 lead lol. Real rough game from Vitek, might have been his worst game as a Devil(or atleast the worst since his first game against the Wings). Hope he can snap out of it, been a string of a few underperformances here for him recently. Great job from Schmid coming in for the save!

Jack and Bratt seemed out of it. Both only had 1 SOG. Bastian had 5!

Just watched the highlights, just looking at the goalie stats you'd think they played terrible but most the goals were good goals and not goalie errors

Always good to win against the defending champs especially on the road

Going to be exciting when Meier is healthy and gets in, have to assume he goes in for shara unless they are intent on Nico and Meier and shuffle tatar down but tatar has been great with nico and mercer

The highlight was the AVS feed and they were saying how impressive the devil's are
