Okay - fair. However:
35g in 77games last year (.46 goals/game)
31g in 57 games this year (.55 goals/game)
So, in an 82 game season he is now averaging 40+/year. One caveat being he has to play in 82 games.... - hockeybocc
Right it’s nice to think if you’ve played all the games he would produce those points, but that’s yet to be seen. |

Seravalli says Yotes getting Voraceks contract, making trading Schmaltz and Crouse good so they arent under the cap.
Bets on Fitz getting Crouse? He wants kids with term and the age fits? He and Marty both said we need to get bigger.
We still have Holtz to dangle. |

I think I saw something that 56% of their cap is for players that won't play again
That can't be right
And if that is, the league needs to step in |

I'm all for the league stepping in after we get what we want from them. |

Right now on Capfriendly it looks like the Yotes have about $28.2M in LTIR players and $43.3M in active players. Plus $3.6M in dead cap/retained salaries.
More interestingly they have 36 pick in the next three drafts. |

Curious what they’ll do with them. Cuz.. it’s not like you have twice the farm teams as everyone else for those players to even play for you. They gotta be smart. |

Bjugstad and Domi off the board, so barring anything surprising by tomorrow I'd say it's a pretty good bet that Fitz is done.
Hopefully Timo is back tomorrow or Sunday, can't wait to watch him with Jack. |

What about this edmundson character. Is he worth anything? He’s Bahl-sized, and I’m assuming is as good or better than Smith. |

Nice 3rd liner. Palat-Haula-Neiderreiter would’ve been solid. Wish we could package Sharangovich for a decent 3rd liner. |

He's pretty awful, unless im missing something. I think i saw a stat from like 2 weeks ago that no defenseman since 2007 with 500+ minutes played has had goals scored against them at a higher clip than Edmundson this season. The Habs are giving up like 4.35 goals per 60 with him on the ice lol. Its not totally on him obviously, but also his expected goals against per 60 is among the worst in the league this year too. He's big though!
One guy whose name is starting to pop up that i think would be a good add for the bottom 6 is Pius Suter from Detroit, and should be relatively cheap. A lot of the analytics people out there are saying he could potentially be this years Blake Coleman. Also doesnt hurt that he's Swiss too lol, might as well collect them all! |

Oof. That’s embarrassing. I guess Suter would be alright 🤷🏻♂️ |

I'm still holding out a little hope that theres a surprise trade out there to be made! Maybe Sam Bennett or Lawson Crouse or something like that! Definitely a long shot though and would require salary being moved out.
It's definitely nice to go into the deadline not really worrying about what your team does though. Getting Timo a few days early was nice, can just sit back and enjoy the day without stressing. Although it doesnt seem like theres much left in general for the deadline shows tomorrow lol |

Would've been a nice add for sure, and was relatively cheap considering he has another year left too. Nice move by the Jets there. |

I agree he is a good bottom 6 guy and seems to be a penalty kill guy as well, which would be good. |

I would love Bennet. Great C that doesn't take poop. I always think of him as a zajac with more snarl. |

I wanted us to get Pius Suter last year so would be onboard trading for him. Just automatic upgrade over Wood. |
