Fun story. An article popped up on my phone, the author was RIPPING Dubas for his recent moves. Got to the bottom of the article and realized it was written by a familiar, old face from around here. Any guesses? An insufferable POS. - Whipper

That doesn't narrow it down all lol
It's funny cause Dubas got exactly what people have said the Leafs needed and did it with cap savvy and getting guys with term left. It's pretty solid.

Howard Berger or Steve Simmons
yeah...Simmons - Symba007
Naw Simmons recent stuff pointed out how other teams top players performed in the playoffs compared to the Leafs top players. It was spot on, no matter how much some people don't want to hear it. |

let's be honest...the Leafs top 6 forwards will need to drive the bus, no passengers like in the past. |

No, Avs have a nice looking stroll if they're healthy.
Kerfoot (if he's the guy) is a west coaster so I gotta think they have some options on the competitive western teams. Avs, Dallas, Seattle, Vegas, Kings ...maybe Flames. One of those.
Or, if Dubas wants to keep him, then Engvall to the Marlies or flipped for a conditional pick works too.
ZAR's tiny contract is helping him stay off the hit list. Gotta move ~ $1.15 I think. - The Law
BTW, between Engvall and Kerfoot, Engvall has been a playoff no-show all 3 playoffs he has been in. At 5-on-5, he has 2 assists in 17 games, is -3, has taken 4 penalties while drawing 3, and has 7 giveaways to 3 takeaways (tough stat those last two). He's thrown 28 hits and blocked 2 shots.
Kerfoot, at 5-on-5, has 5 assists in 19 games, is even, has taken 2 penalties, and drawn 2. He has 12 giveaways to 7 takeaways. He's thrown 21 hits and blocked 16 shots.
Literally at 5v5 they both suck. The only real advantage I'll give Kerfoot is that he has blocked significantly more shots.
If there is any other deal out there they need to make, then Kerfoot has to go to make room for the player - otherwise - and I've said repeatedly that I do like his game - I think Engvall's time is up.
I would also add that in the event of injury, I think the team is comfortable putting Kerfoot anywhere in the bottom-9, but I don't think the same can be said of Engvall. |

I don’t think there will be offers to drive up. We’ll pay someone to take the cap off our hands. - Canada Cup
I’m seeing it as nothing huge but I doubt it will cost the leafs to move a guy who is slightly above average when it comes to 3rd line offensive production |

I like what Dubas has done. If this core fails again, it will need a lot of significant work, no more shuffling the deck chairs. Draft picks mean little to the team where they are now.
Unfortunately, everything he has done will not mean anything if the top 4 don't step up their game. |

Agreed. Neither are ideal. I have liked Kerfoots jump in the playoffs. Engvall has been invisible. Of the two, I would prefer to keep Kerfoot if the cap works. |

Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares, ROR, Bunter
How will the defense do, how will the netminders do? All important things but this team is build around offense, they top guys need to produce. |

This is inspiring me to make a coffee table book about 80's cereal commercials. Or maybe 80's food/grocery commercials. They were great.

Remember: a Honeycomb box is 4 times the size of a regular cereal box.
I only have room for one on the cereal shelf.
Had it for breakfast this morning - the most delicious bowl of sugar ever. And doesn't hurt the roof of your mouth like Cap'n Crunch. |

Sometimes I have a reaction like the old man in Clockwork Orange when he hears Alex' voice the second time and recognizes who is. Like when I hear that rooster that the Friendly Giant keeps in a bag next to the door. - Zezel
My brother went to school with a kid whose dad was the puppeteer for Friendly Giant.
The dad was the voice of Jerome the Giraffe and Rusty the Rooster.
Needless to say, I was franking jealous. |

I've seen UG thrown around here a bunch. Are people referring to Unholy Goalie circa 2008?!? I took a long break from here, and I'm not sure if he's still lurking around. There is a guy with the same avatar I believe., but if he is UG, he's chilled out a bunch

Get out of town!
Me and buddy of mine make the rooster sound to each other to freak each other out all the time. That rooster was freaky.
